Hey guys! ok, so... sadly the rx8 is gone... but my loss could be some of you guys gain, I took almost everything from the 8 out, I need to sell it, and I rather have some of you guys buy it than having to deal with shipping of any kind. I live around mason and I know couple of you guys live up here, but for the rest we could meet almost any saturday at fuel.
some pieces came out and some others never really made it in, and the stuff that I took out is in pretty good shape, so the list is a bit long but you can send me a PM if you are interested in any of it.
front mazdaspeed strut
rear beatrush strut
mazdaspeed oil cap
mazda front accent (new)
AF short shifter
Cobb Accesport (maps in it)
weapon R oil catch can (new)
clear corners
fender strakes (new)
metal shifter bushing
works bell shifter
BHR ignition system
spare tire bar (bought through ebay and I think is missing hardware)
air filter
front lower plastic piece (if anyone wants it I'll give it for free, it's scraped and one support is broken)
clutch pedal cover
trunk all weather cargo tray (with cuts for the rear strut)
foot well lighting ("new" but missing timer and electro tap)
carpet mats (new)
all weather mats (new)
original springs
master cylinder cap "dress up" (new)
mazda windshield cover (like new)
I'll add pictures...

Eric, so where's the replacement pics? I have a sneaky feeling your holding out on us. I also have a strong feeling the wife will be driving a Veloster by years end.
I am getting tired of the push car Camry. Looking at E46 325ci 323ci manual coupes in the 4-6k range for a replacement. Hard to find without a zillion miles for that price.

not really... no holding up... just remember this was a compromise with my wife, and remember the fact that we're mexican!!! cause that's the dangerous part!!! hehe... it's "family friendly", four door, awd and within budget... I like it but I do miss the 8.

Heck, that is much better than a Veloster, so no need to be ashamed of that. Great color too. Have fun with it. I miss the daily driver fun, but it looks like you got that taken care of LOL.

I can attest to the fact that it does add weight. I had one of those on my Protege, damn thing weighs a lot considering it originally came on a Miata. One nice thing is the center piece is movable so you can put it in any orientation your little heart desires once it's on the car.

Just a friendly reminder for any of you that live in and around Ohio, we have a facebook group dedicated to local rotary owners, and also a forum for all types of rotaries, not just the beautiful 8. You are welcome to join both, and we have several meets every year. Its also a great way to get help, and buy and sell parts locally. We all love parts right?!?

Anyone heading to the Import Car Show at Kentucky Speedway this weekend?
Saw this on Craigslist... wonder if he'll trade? Seen the car at FUEL, sound's epic.
84 911 carrera trade?

Kevin, I haven't seen the car up close, only heard it when he left one time from FUEL. That BB exhaust sounds so good on a flat 6 when it took off. Yeah the ImportAlliance event appears to have several caravans going from Lex, Louis and Cincy.

After watching some vids from ATL and Nashville, it looks like it's about 1 clean nice car per every 10-15 junk daily drivers or riced out civics. I've never been a big fan of import meets/shows or car shows for that matter. Could be cool though. Just too rich for my expectations There seems to be a decent sized group of bmw's going down from ohio, but i haven't really paid much attention to the thread.
I don't recall seeing that 3.2 at Fuel, but there have been a few nice 930's there over the years. I still want one...someday.
Ultimately, i'd want it to look pretty much like this

Kevin, if you're nice to me I'll let you sit in the Recaros when they are in for a slight nominal fee ($5, we're friends after all). You can close your eyes and make believe you are in a 930.
In other news, I may be home in three weeks or so. It depends upon how many times they change our schedule, and whether or not I have to go home from Nigeria again (about which I am SOOOOO thrilled!).

I bet you can't wait to get home Chief, seems like you've been out forever.
...yeah the cool thing about those cars is you can restyle them to look like the RSR in that pic (older style) or you can upgrade it to look like a 964 easily, or even a 993 with a lot more work.
I just asked him if he wants to trade, so we'll see. I never thought that I would get a response for my RX8, so you never know doesn't hurt to ask.
I probably would leave it alone though and just drive it. Even with those crappy pics, the car looks pretty clean to me. Those Fikse wheels... I wish I had them on my car.
btw, I took some pretty good pics at the S's from M-O Vintage race the other weekend. I'll have to post them when I get a chance. I even got a Rotary or two in there!
