Paul, and to everyone else,

Steve and I were talking yesterday that we would like to get everyone together for a grill out and a "de-carbon" meet next month at Steves house, since he has a lot of land. We were thinking late March because it would be nice to do it when the weather is warmer. Then have a huge meet sometime late May or early June.

Good idea? Would people come to the "de-carbon" meet?

Meet

Hi all,

Sorry it's been a long time. just heard about the de-carb meet posted by Jeff and I'm in. So this is at Steve's house?
Just ran into a potential new member at BP. His name is Keith and he has a silver 6M base model with Greddy SP2 exhaust. Hope he comes to our next meet. Paul, how do you like the coilovers? Did you buy any sway-bars yet?

ha

i would happen to be the keith that james and mr. candyfax mentioned.

I really want to have a meet up here soon, the car club that i am a part of is getting lame, they dont do much, or share any common intrests (and there is a girlfriend crisis too)

so i am backing out of that ****!

But i would love to help anyone here install anything on their rx8, minus apex seals :] ha let me figure mine out first then i will help with them.

but hit me up, josh has my number and if you like to see my work, look at josh's mazda :]

PS thanks josh for the greddy!

There is good and bad with the coil overs.

GOOD: Car corners much flatter.
Bad: Can be rough over bumps on freeway.

I am thinking about starting my stereo project. I am not there yet. I have the speakers. Amps are on the way. I need to figure out how to do this with the least amount of weight.

ok folks I got 2 dates for you for a big spring meet:

Sunday march 22 or sunday march 29?

that should give us enough time to plan ahead.

please let me know which of those dates work best for most of you so i can

start passing the word to other mazda owners in other forums.

lets make it big again

ZEX Kit

Has anyone locally (Nky/Cincinnati) installed the Zex Kit on their 8? I'm pretty good with the tools but after reading some of the forums it sounds like there are some "gotcha's". It would be great to see the setup first hand before diving into the endeavor of putting on the Zex kit into my 8.

To answer your question lunkenpilot...I don't think anyone around here has put nitrous in their 8. Atleast all of the guys and gals I have met at meets haven't.

That would be pretty badass though, I am a little afraid though. I have seen two videos of two cars that caught on fire and also read on here that a guy put a kit in himself took it for a drive and the damn thing caught fire. So I would recommend having someone that really knows what their doing install it. I am not saying you don't but I wouldn't risk that install with my 8 hahaha...

I appreciate the advice and I would definitely be willing to pay a professional to do the work as I want it to look professional and not blow up my car. I'm going to talk to that Charlie guy on the Nitrous forum and if and when I get the Nitrous setup I definitely let everyone take a peak at my setup.
