well lets all pick a sunday we are free after me and sir josh canafax get his 8 mostly finished.
i know we can get all the parts and what not put on in about a day no big deal, so once he gets it back from paint... its meet on time.
but i dont have any links kwikslvr, but racing beat makes modestly priced ones.

Slammed!
Here are some pics of my new drop. I found a set of OEM end links for $50 shipped and I'll have them Wednesday. i am getting an alignment on Thursday in order to give it enough time to settle. I am also getting a new battery, doing a tune up, and changing the oil this week. I should be ready for a meet next weekend tho.

Looking good, kwikslvr. So how does next Sunday sound for our meet? Do you guys wanna do Devou Park again or somewhere else? I was thinking about 1 or 2 for the time. What do you think?

we can rock the game on the radio since we all have a sweet BOSE option ^_^
in the next few weeks i am redoing the interior of the rx8 in a silver and black sparkle louie vaton!
i will post picture asap, and with doing my car me and a good friend are starting a small custom car interior business if you all are interested i will give more details on here later but we have designer, animal print, and plain color fabric options
designer brands like coach louie vaton prada gucci burberry chanel
animal prints like zebra cheetah jaguar and anything else you can think of
then the usual plain color choices ranging from mesh or fuzzy and the traditional plain style
let me know if you all are interested i will bring some samples with me to the next meet and hopefully have my rx8 set up as a promo car so you can see my skills ^_^

Tint / iPhone and NS-FX Footwell Lighting Kit
I've got a few questions:
1. Can some recommend a good window tint company in the Greater Cincinnati?
2. iPhone music connector has anyone installed this on their RX8?
3. Can someone recommend a dealer or a local company that could install the iPhone music connector for me?
4. Has anyone installed the NS-FX Footwell Lighting Kit. My problem is that I have none of the colored wires the kit is telling me to connect into...
If this helps I have 2004 RX8.
Thanks much,
Brian
P.S. I'd be up for getting an adult beverage at Nada or Bootsy's one night...it would be super cool to have a bunch of 8's pull up to either place.

There are a few different ipod/iphone connectors out there. I use the Axxess box, but only with an ipod as it takes over control. It does have an audio-in option that I plan on buying at some point to use my iphone too. There are plenty of reviews on the options in the interior/audio forum here. There's also a how to, but if you need some help, let me know. I'll lend a hand. The footwell lighting should be relatively easy, and you might be able to find a how to on that as well. Are you on the east side? Just wondering because of your name.
Not really sure where to go for tint, as i'm not a big fan. Best thing to do is ask people with nice looking tint where they got it from. Most car audio places do tint as well, so you could essentially get all of your problems solved in once place. It probably won't be cheap though.
Now one to the important stuff. Yes, we should meet up for adult beverages some day.
I drive a TiGrey 8 that now has some Chrome Ro-Ja's on it (until i get them powder coated over the winter). Give me a wave if you see me. I live in Mt. Washington, so drive by Lunken all the time.

As far as window tint, i only go to one place " Quality Window Tint" on dixie highway near buttermilk pike, and they are awesome. I've had 3 cars done there with 3 different types of tint and all came out great. they do full lifetime warranty on the work and on the tint as long as you get something besides the cheap tint. if anything ever goes wrong, they fix it for free. mine was $190 total for the highest end film they have.
also, if you bring the iphone and lighting kit, i could prolly look at it and give you some pointers, i have a lot of stereo / lighting install experience.

Ok. lets get this meet all setup. 1 pm @ Devou Park is what we are doing.
checked the weather, it looks good.
Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s.
i will be there @ 1, and I'll hang out for a while, but i will not be going on the cruise since i have not gotten an alignment since lowering my car yet.
Everyone should come if you are free.

I'm going to take another look at the foot well lighting again and see if I can figure out where to splice into the doom lighting wire. I don't really want to ***** nilly splice (Since I do not have the specified colored wires). I did do a search on the forum and everyone suggest that it is super straight forward. So maybe I'm just missing something.
Someone mentioned night shots of our 8's that would be super cool. I would like to suggest that we meet downtown and then park right in front of Nada at the Valet. I know all the valet guys and they always put my 8 right up front. I'm sure they would put a gaggle of 8's right up front just outside of Nada if we all showed up together.
Anyone have any suggestions on an aftermarket exhaust? And does anyone have the catalytic converter deleted and if so how did you address the engine light?
Thanks,
Brian

I'd be more up for a night meet, but can't promise Funny you ask about going catless Brian. I plan on pulling off my Agency Power midpipe Saturday afternoon and going back to stock, at least for the winter. The AP midpipe sounds good at idle and high rpms, but is really raspy in the midrange, and I don't like it. This is with the stock cat-back mind you. I've heard that other people have different results. I have other plans for the exhaust come spring, and probably won't be using it anyway. I'm a complete tech head/apple geek, so my fix for the CEL was to buy REV for my iphone, and a Kiwi WiFi OBD reader. With that setup, i can monitor most of everything that comes through the OBD2 port and check and clear codes. I'd love to get an Access Port at some point, but have other priorities at the moment.
I'll keep checking and see what everyone wants to do for a meet, but i can't promise i'll be able to make it. I do know that i'm going to Cars and Coffee Saturday morning though if anyone want to go. It's at Fuel on Kellog/Riverside Dr. about 2 miles east of downtown. I'll probably be down there around 10AM. Lots of nice cars usually, and you never know what will show up. It's hard to tell now that the weather is getting crappy.

What are your plans in regards to exhaust?

The AP with the stock cat-back is pretty quiet still, just raspy in the mid-rev range. I plan to go catless still, but i haven't decided on what to get completely. I like the HKS Hi Power single exit, but i know it is loud. With the AP, it would be too loud for my taste, so i'll probably go with BHR's midpipe. I've heard a lot of great things about it. I'll probably make a silencer as well for daily use. I'm not a fan of constant loud, but if out for a spirited drive, autox, or hpde's (hopefully) i want to be able to hear it.

Hey Man,
Not sure if that was you at Fuel this morning...I drove past in the Black 8. I would have stopped but I was coming from a Funeral and had to do the family thing.
I gotta tell you that the gray 8 with what looked like Volk Wheels looked super tough and just totally justified a purchase of Volk 19's for me!
Cheers to our 8's,
Brian

Since I no longer have an 8, its kinda killing me at the moment. But I will chime in on the whole exhaust thing..
Go for the Agency Power cat-back exhaust! By far the best sounding exhaust on an 8! I had it on mine and I absolutely loved it. Didnt sound raspy at all and it was pure sex to the hears.![Bowdown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
Also..ive heard alot of great things about the Exoticspeed exhaust. I might be picking one up here soon for my s2k but I want to hear it in person first before I get it.
Let me know if you have any questions..Ive heard a lot of exhausts for the 8 in person and can chime in from time to time to give my opinion.
