Rocafellavc: glad you found us. I wouldn't say you were in the wrong thread, you were just in one that wouldn't have been noticed. Welcome again. Hopefully we'll be able to get some local meets going this year. Are you heading to MMF?
BrilliantBlackRX8: as long as it's not raining and all my parts get here, I'll be working on my hoses, tune up, thermostat and possibly ssv this sunday if you want some help with yours. Send me a PM and I'll give you my address and number.

hey guys,
my name is victor and i just picked up an 04 with 19k on it. i live in clifton and weather permitting my windows are always going to be down when i drive haha so if anyone sees me cruisin feel free to say hi haha.
i posted in the wrong area so thanks fuztupnz for lettin me know haha. i used to have a mazda 3 and was the cincy meet coordinator for the ohioaxelaclub.com who are a great group of people. i believe we actually had some rx8 guys come to one of my meets at dave and busters a year or 2 ago. anyway, since the weather is warming up id like to get out and get to know all of you and cruise sometime. i go to meets every thursday when it gets warmer with my other forum if anyone would be interested in getting a meet together or joining my when the thursday meets come around thatd be cool. also i will be teaming up with audio sensations this spring and summer to hold meets on the weekends at there shop. so there is always stuff to do in cincy. id really like to get all the mazda guys and girls out again cuz it was alot of fun. anyway. any helpful hints about the car please feel free to let me know! haha thanks guys

what time is the fuel saturday? id definately be down to go as long as i wake up in time haha. if not if anyone would be interested in setting up a time id like to get out and meet everyone. maybe quaker steak of bdubs or somethin

Hey guys I don't have time to search and about to go do a complete oil change on my car (using a vaccume to get all the oil out) but I'm not sure exactly where I gotta do it at. I have shop access at 6 so I have access to their vaccume machine bt not sure where it needs to be hooked to. Anyone know????

Rocafellavc, i know it's too late, but i actually don't have any useful info on vacuuming out the oil.
So i had an interesting week. Had the overflow nipple break off my radiator last weekend, so I got to upgrade. New Koyo installed as are my OC screens, plugs, wires, coils and hoses. Looks like the previous owner had the radiator out at some point and stressed the nipple. As soon as we started to pull out the overflow tank it snapped. **** happens, I got an unexpected upgrade.
If anyone is interested, i'm heading to Fuel tomorrow as I always do. Finally nice enough to clean the car up and head down nice and shiny like. I'd imagine it will be a pretty nice crowd since it's supposed to be nice tomorrow. I'm sure some the vintage porsche gang will be there.

Selling a few things..
Whats going on guys..I am moving across the country in a few weeks and have been cleaning out my garage and found a few things that I had bought for the 8.
1. MTX amp with 2 10inch MTX 5500 series subwoofers that will include the enclosures. Fits perfectly in the trunk of the 8. Sounds amazing! $250 o.b.o
2. Stainless steel front rotary accent $70 o.b.o. Never been used.
3. Driver side exhaust shroud..still in original packaging. $55
I have pics. Just let me know if you want to see them.

Anyone want to try to get together for an evening/dinner meet saturday the 27th? I'm gonna post on a couple other sites and see if i can get some other rotary or mazdas to come out. I can't do it in the morning or afternoon because i'll be either helping a friend with an MG, or helping some others with their Lemons car if it's back from the cage builder. Sunday looks like rain, but it's possible if the weather holds out. I know Devou Park has been a good spot in the past, but i'm open to pretty much anywhere.

I was starting to get excited about putting my summer wheels/tires back on this weekend, and sho nuff it got craptacular out. Still looking to make it out to my first meet one of these days, I really need to stop being such a homebody. My fiancee works most weekend nights (pastry chef, not lady of the night 
) so I am usually wide open. Been looking for help Sea Foaming my 8 for a while now too. People have told me how to do it on several occasions but I am wary of doing it without an experienced person on hand to keep me from destroying my precious.

Yeahyeah: get the summers on! my wife works retail, so she works a lot of weekends so mine are usually free. The first 3 weekends of April are all booked up for me though. I've never done a seafoam, but I'm more than willing to lend a hand. It doesn't seem to be tough at all, but I surely understand your concern, it's keeping me from doing mine as well.

I've seafoamed and used the zoom cleaner on my 8 and neither is too much of a pain to do. seafoam does a good job, but i think the zoom cleaner does much better, most likely due to the process thats involved with doing it, injecting it straight into the engine as opposed to using a vacume hose as with seafoam. i would be willing to help or give some pointers on how its done if anyone is interested.

The guys over at ohio rotaries are trying to get together saturday afternoon at Miami Whitewater park. I'm not sure of the time yet, but i'll keep this thread updated as i find out more. I should be able to make it, but if anyone can't and wants to meet up later, I'll do both.

Here's the skinny on the the Ohio Rotaries Meet saturday. Plan is to meet at the Harrison Kroger on Harrison Ave by the park around 1:30. Once there, we'll head up to the park as a group since it's a large park with multiple lots. There is plenty of space, grills and picnic tables, so there will probably some grilling. If you want food, bring it.

Awesome kwikslvr. It looks like there are at least 6 confirmed from the original thread over at ohio rotaries. Most are FB's and FC's i think. I'll probably hit up fuel in the morning too. Let me know if you and your buddy want to meet before and head up there together.

So, the ship I'm now on just got Internet service connected today, so I'll be able to keep up with what's going on. Looks like I'll be out around 4 months this time, good thing is this will be my permanent ship for the next two years so I'll be able to get on a schedule closer to what I am supposed to (depending upon the ship's schedule since we aren't permitted to do crew changes in the load ports in Nigeria).

Quick question for anyone, the wife just called to say the low coolant light came on. I asked if she noticed any puddles under the car and she said no. Anything I can tell her to watch for?
Also, I need the rear upper spring perches so I can install her new suspension when I get home. Anybody have or know of someone who has the stock rear parts for sale?

Mine had a small leak around the lower radiator hose at the nipple at the block. It's hard to see and the airpump has to be pulled to get to it. It never really leaked enough to leave a puddle until a few months ago, so it was hard to track down. It turned up, it was just build up on the nipple, but i replaced my hoses anyway.
