Mines running around still. I'm still in Columbus for work, but I'm heading back to Cincy for the weekend. I'm also expecting new plugs and coils tomorrow, mine are on their way out.

Figured I'd ask around here about this issue. Does anyone elses 8 have issues with idle/stalling when you disconnect the battery. I had disconnected the battery yesterday to change the ignition coils, but I ran out of time before I could get anywhere. I reconnected the battery and oh so reliably it won't hold idle and stalls a stoplights. This has happened to me twice before, both times after a battery disconnect. It seems to "relearn" how to hold idle after about a week or so each time. Just curious if anyone else has this promblem, because I'm going to start avoiding disconncecting my battery like the plague.

Happy New year everyone! So i finally broke down and made an appointment to have my 8 looked at. I have had the warm starting issues for about a year now and my transmission grinds when going into 4th and 5th since i bought the car. I'm dropping it off Wednesday at Kerry Mazda in Florence and the work should be covered by my warranty so i should only have to pay the $200 deductible. It could be a compression / engine issue since i have replaced the battery and whole ignition system and the transmission is likely done for. So i might get a new engine and transmission out of this, but we will have to see. So I'll be driving a bitchin' smiley faced mazda 3 for a while... I'll let you know what happens.

Tact, I'd go but it's a little far for me at the moment! Sometime in March I should be there.
I finally managed to get a Mazdaspeed front brace for the wife's car. Now I have an Axial Flow master cylinder brace (blue anodized) that will be sitting around. I only put it on for a short time, when I changed her suspension the mounting studs on the new ones didn't have enough thread for the bolts to bite on. Thought I might use it when I changed things back but no need now. If anyone wants this let me know and we can work out a price. I will also trade for your stock brace as hers already has the holes drilled so it will be plug and play.

I'll be there this saturday in the beater. I went all winter long last year. It's nice to get out of the house.

I would, but have already committed to The Mitty. Besides, I know if the wife saw some of the monsters that will no doubt be there, she would want more power and that would mean fewer mods for the Miata. She definitely doesn't need any more power, she gets into enough trouble as it is.
