Eagle Creek Park / OAC Mazda Club Rules & Regulations
1) Please pick up after yourself. While park staff will collect trash after your event, you should leave some time to pick up the area and leave the facility as you found it. In some cases, the facility will be used a second or third time on the same day by different groups. Decorations are fine as long as no permanent damage will result-thus no use of duct or packing tape, tacks, nails, or staples. We also caution against water balloons, egg tosses, and similar activities because it is very hard to clean up the aftermath of these events, fun as they may be.
2) We ask that you adhere to parking and occupancy limits. To protect the park, we only allow parking in designated parking lots-there is no overflow parking on turf areas-and we require that access be available at all times for emergency vehicles. We must enforce the occupancy limit for each facility, based on both parking availability and fire code limits.
3) Firewood should not be collected from the area surrounding the facility. If the facility has a fireplace, firewood will be provided by the park (this gives us a use for the results of wind and ice storms during the year).
4) Family dogs and cats are welcome but must be on a leash and under an owner's control at all times and must be cleaned up after.
5) To preserve the overall atmosphere of the park, music and other noise must not be heard at a distance of more than 50 feet.
6) Alcohol of any kind is not permitted within the Metro Parks, including reserved areas.
7) You must have $5 cash to pay the park attendant. You must bring food, cooking supplies, or donate to the shelter to participate in the BBQ.
We would request that our visitors not engage in the following:
1. Possess or consume beer and or alcohol
2. Gather firewood
3. Pets on nondesignated trails or in reservable lodges
4. Water balloons, eggs throwing, lawn darts, glitter, confetti or other similar materials
5. No livestock or generators
We want to make this very clear:
1. No alcoholic beverages, drugs, loud profanity, or weapons. This is a family event. Sorry!
2. No over aggressive driving/burn outs (this has been a problem before)
3. Do you're part to clean & throw things away. Respect the park, it's a good place - keep it that way
4. Don't be a turd. We reserve the right to ask / have ranger(s) to remove anyone from the park

Danger,
Give me a shout. A few weeks ago I saw a bunch of you guys zippin' around downtown Indy just prior to our team leaving for a race in Virginia. I wanted to chase you guys down but we had very little time before we had to leave town.
I own and operate a professional road racing team here in Indy. We run 3 RX8's in a shop just East of downtown. If you guys ever want to stop by the shop and check out the cars, give me a shout.
Also, I'd like to know more about this weekend.
Give me an email or call:

MAPS TO THE SHELTER ON SUNDAY
North Side of the Park
http://www.indygov.org/NR/rdonlyres/...KPARKNORTH.pdf
South Side of Park
http://www.indygov.org/NR/rdonlyres/...KPARKSOUTH.pdf
Our Shelter is in the NORTH SIDE of the park, on the map look for 8A (that is the shelter). I suggest printing it out and as its a bit difficult to read on the screen. I'll post up some clear directions soon.
I HIGHLY suggest if you are driving out alone or even in a small group to get someones number in case you get lost in the park. Feel free to PM me and I'll give you my cellphone number. Us Indy locals will probably be at the park at least an hour beforehand to help.

Great time
I went down for the INDY RX8 Club meet yesterday and would like to thank the whole group for putting on a great event. Everyone was friendly, the event was well organized, and the turn out was great. What a great group of people! I hope to have the time to attend more events that they put on in the future. I took Lauren (my 10 yr old) and she had a great day as well.
The only negative about the whole day was that it is a long drive (from North of Chicago).
Thanks again to all involved for planning and putting on a great event. I know it is difficult and usually under-appreciated. Your group would be a great model for others to emulate.
-Caleb (USN CPO)
P.S.-Could someone get me in touch with the IS1 that was in attendance? Who do I need to get my membership info to, as I would definitely come out again if when time permits (next time I will plan to stay over)?
