Any experience with Banzai Racing?
Im needing a engine rebuild and am looking for shops to perform the rebuild.
Anyone have any experience with this shop, either Rx7 or preferably Rx8?
Thanks

I dont know whats going pn with my phone, i may post this twice. If so im sorry.
I am currently having oir rx8 rebuilt thru Banzai Racing. They have been so good to us! They are very knowledgeable and had us in the shop for 3 hrs giving advice and options and showing what is wrong. Did a compression test while we were there too. They email pictures and tell you what step they are working on during the process. We are so far very happy with them. Especially after going thru so much crap with 2 other shops.

^Confirming Banzai has a good rep with rx7club. Authorized vendor there too. Never had any work done by them, and we don't always agree on ever issue. But I believe that Chris (owner) is honest and knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to have him do my rebuild if he were closer than a 10 hr drive away.

I've had 2 engines done by them. One 90' s5 vert 13b and 04' rx8 renesis. Both run great, I did alot of looking before I took my car there. Chris and Elaine rock, he's super smart and won't send anything half *** out of his shop. I won't take my car anywhere else!

I have mostly heard only good things. Edit: There is a recent thread about a engine they rebuilt failing after 300 miles but the owner may have contributed to the engines failure so if that ends up being the case, then Banzai would not be a fault for the failure. Hopefully the OP who started the thread will be honest and tell the whole story once it plays out.

Yep I would be interested in hearing the whole story. Banzai went to great lengths to help me rebuild my S5 13b we ended up going through 2 complete cores and I still needed new housings and they found me (2) almost new t2 housings at very reasonable price. If you ever have a ? you will have it the same day 99% of the time. I learned more in a couple hours I spent there than days of reading on here. Don't be afraid to take any rotary powered vehicle here Chris knows his stuff.
