I'm heading out to test and tune night at Gateway, just for the heck of it. I thought I'd put a note here and see if any 8 owners want to hang out. I'll bring a cooler full of beer that you can mooch from

 

You planning on parking in any certain area? Might have to come out...if work doesn't run too late.

 

By the way, what time does it run from and how much does it cost to participate and to spectate?

Tonight at Gateway Raceway - gates open at 5pm, racing starts at 6pm. Cost is $10 to spectate, $15 to race.

I won't be parked in any particular place, but call my cell at 314.780.2792 when you get there to meet up.

Click on the Calendar tab and select Weekly Events. Click on the event for Augsut 8th, that is the one BOOSTD7 is talking about.

 

And according to Gateway, a helmet is not required for this event unlike the SCCA Autocross events.

 

Hohw does the racing work? Do we have to be there at 6 or can we come later?

 

Right, no helmet needed ... unless you guys are running 11.50's, haha! If you get there at 6 you'll be fine.

 

I usually run 11.60's, so I should be fine. Yeah...I wish. LOL

 

I don't get off until 9pm. Anyone still going to be there?

 

Terrets and I were there until about 10pm. We had a great time and got in about 10 runs or so each. We had a lot of head to head races with each other also, and found ourselves to be evenly matched. Boostd was there, and he looked to be taking some pictures. Maybe if he is so kind, you could pass those on to us who raced. Would be neat to have a picture of us out on the track. Oh, and did I mention it was a great time?!?!

 

Yeah that would be great if you could send us those pictures! Or post them on the forum, I'm sure that everyone would like to see two 8's going at it, even if they didn't turn out great. It was great seeing you guys. Boostd, maybe you coulkd make it out to Autocross on sunday?
