as of right now it works but I have not drove my car in weeks due to "I don't do the snow tire thing"- so that will work for me depending upon weather, but enough about me

It's true -- I have the Greddy turbo kit. However -- it is not installed yet. I am going to have it installed next month. It is so COLD outside and I have been / will be traveling (Scottsdale, Palm Springs ) alot that I just don't have time to get it installed any sooner. Plus I really want to take the 8 in for service prior to the install just in case. The Greddy was so cheap ($3250 shipped for the kit, BOV, flange, and Turbo Timer) that I figured I could play around with it and if I still wanted to go with RP's axial SC I could easily switch without losing much $$. I also looked at the SSR unit but I think that for the price difference it just wasn't worth it plus I think the driveablility for my purposes will be better served by the Greddy -- the SSR is more for hardcore racing IMO.

Hi Guys. New owner here. Just got mine a couple of weeks ago.

Is it legal to have stealth bulbs with your clear corners in Nebraska? How bout stealth bulbs that burn amber as your turn signals?

I believe that your corners must be amber -- so you can use stealth bulbe with clear corners that burn amber.

Thanks. Yes, I am looking forward to driving it. But, I can be patient. Don't want any rock chips.

RXhusker, appreciate the clear corner answer.

Hola NE RX owners. It's me again here to bug you about how I can extend the discounted club price to all of you. I have two suggestions and am open to others.

1) I can add you under the Ohama RX7 Club since I'm pretty sure that's a loosely organized club and welcomes all rotary owners.

2) I can make up a name (Husker Rotary Club) and add your names as club members

Either one works for me or you can add your own suggestions here (I monitor this thread a lot).

The only thing I would need is your first/last name. Feel free to email it to me at: Click Here to email me

Thanks, I'd love to see all your 8's out to the event this year! Looking forward to reading more about RXhuskers Turbo.

I drove my baby when it was nice last week.

I couldnt take just seeing it all lonely in the garage, so it got all splashed up, but im looking forward to washing it again when it gets to be in the 50s this week

Can't wait till this snow and salt is gone!

Does anyone have their own powerwasher?

I am going to close my eyes and pretend I didn't read that. That's like saying -- "Does anyone torture their dog?"

Zaino and a powerwasher How about a gentle stream of warm water and clean 100% cotton high grade hand towel -- using Zaino wash of course.

Even the guys at my detail shop know not to use a powerwasher on my 8!

Oh yeah :D :D :D

Yesterday At 3:30pm I went outside in sandals, shorts, and a t-shirt and proceeded to detail my car.

Took a good 2 hrs with all the salt and crap that was on it.

Ahh, it feels good to be shiny again.

Does anyone have any idea on exaclty how much road salt degrades your wax job?

Oh my god....

My RX8....

Last night.... I didnt know it was going to snow, so I took it out to a friends party because the roads looked fairly clear.....

Started coming home at 3am, suddenly, mist starts hitting the windshield, then flurries, then snow!!!

I was driving on 144th from fort to harrison, home. The streets were empty, I was alone. I was going along the straight stretch of road between pacific and center, and all of a sudden, my wheels started to drift.....

So I was able to correct for a while but it got to be too much, I spun out, over the curb, hit a small tree (1" thick), the tree was tall and strong enough to dent the bottom flare of my passanger side quarter door and rip my aero flare off. Plus I am getting a CEL now. Probably the exhaust from going over the curb?

Seriously, I know people say not to use these tires in the snow, and you hear it, but really, it is horrible how little snow there was to cause this....

The roads looked "dusted," Because it had JUST started snowing.

I urge you all to not drive your car in any snow!!!! Even dusted roads will cause the ABS to come on at every stop light because of the loss of traction, that and spin outs....

Pray for my 8, shes having a hard time right now, but she'll be good as new in a bit.....

Sorry to hear it

They truly are SUMMER tires.. It is actually more the cold than the snow -- the rubber gets so hard in the cold that they are basically useless. Now my Dunlop Winter Sports ..... that is a different story -- worth every penny for winter driving ( and I have only put on 200 miles since Thanksgiving.

Just got back in town -- will pick-up my TURBO 8 tomorrow if the weather is OK :D

If anybody wants a CZ unit really cheap let me know. FWIW the guy at my speed shop was very impressed with how much power gain I got from the CZ -- averaged about 15 hp and he said the midrange power was very evident.

I have an offer for $200 -- just waiting to hear back on confirmation. 33% of current new list price is pretty "cheap" IMO

I also have a Green Performance air filter (and cleaning kit) if anyone wants. It was a nice little performance mod for the stock airbox.

The sonic that we met at Kain was a good place for me, i found that fairly easy. Let me know what works for everyone. I'll have the goods in the trunk and hopefully the NX bottle mounted!

Darn - Feb 19th I will be down in Arizona again.

I plan on doing some serious cruising tomorow and Sat. to put the turbo though the paces. I haven't had an opportunity to really drive her yet between work and having two kids with the flu the past week.
