In the original version, he said it was the best car he had ever driven. Then, afterward he said he had driven it in the rain and it was skidish. Something about the tires (or is it tyres). Of course we know all about the tires.

Also they compare it with the 350Z. Clarkson defending the little RX. The little guy (I can't think of his name at the moment) praising the "butch" Z. Turns out they turned exact same times on the test track @ 1:31.8. Also the same time as the BMW M3.

IIRC the m3 was on a wet track.

Auto Show Preview...

I just got home from the auto show First Look For Charity... I have had a lot of champagne so forgive me if this is sloppy... The Mazda exhibit was boring, sorry. At least whom ever put together the RX-8 exhibit got the whole rotary thing. Here is a pic of the Shinka that is there. (didn't even have the Rotary accent package)
That's me in a tux, btw.

I just got the estimate from State Farm on the repairs for my car. Over $3000 worth of damage. The rear door alone is over $600. $1700 for labor.

Is that about what you were expecting? Having not seen your car, I guess I can't really be sure about the damage.

You just love to rub it in don't you????

Kind of like that time someone on the forum was listening to and looking at some guy's G35c with BBS wheels and for the first question asked, "Hey, is that a dent I see in the lip of front wheel?"

Anyone care to guess whom that individual is?

I DID NOT!

And to set the story straight ... it was a heavily modded TT. We were all admiring the 90% CF look and I saw a scrape on the passenger side. I simply said, "Oh ouch, what happened here?" But this was before I was informed that you don't talk about ouches at car meets. I didn't know! Now that Red Devil has set me straight and told me you never ever ever ever mention blemishes at a car meet, I will not do that again

But thanks for allowing me the opportunity to change a G35 with BBS wheels into an Audi TT!!!

And I so was not trying to hate on the guy either ... his car may have been a bit too much for me, but he was a very very nice guy and I really wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything! I'm just a n00b and still learning my way

And Allen, the offer of pics is not in any way meant to be relishing in your accident. I was simply offering up the use of my camera as I will be out that way tomorrow.

RD, you are so getting hit with the chair!

Oh RSD, you are so confused my dear.

Remember, we were coming back from Wisconsin and a G35c was following us after a certain track event back to Chicago. He had BBS wheels, which you noticed and commented one was bent at the lip.

The guy with the carbon fiber TT was at a meet in Schaumberg...

Your witness, and put that chair down.

Yes that would be great. I will be in training from 9-3. Now I just have to remember to bring my camera!!

Edit: I won't be able to meet up til after 3, I realized my posts made it sound like I was available between 9 and 3. Sorry for the confusion, I'm obviously having a blonde day.

Hmmmmm I don't remember that at all. Which is not to say it didn't happen. Did I actually say that to the G35 owner? I can't remember his name but I had met him at the JGTCA poker rally about a month before...maybe Greg?? Jeez I hope I didn't say it to him ... what a loser if I did!

What I do remember about that track weekend was me running over Blue's bag!!! Yep, the SheDevil killed that bag alright!

:sits down:

Ha, I forgot all about you running over Blue's bag!!!

Yeah, I can't remember the guy's name but you commented on his rim being bent. I teased you because the first time you saw my car you commented about a few chips that were on my hood. I thought it was pretty funny because you should have seen the look on his face. He looked like you'd actually just beaten him with a chair - not threatened it online.

Why don't you call me when you get out of the class then. My wife is going to be away for most of the day. We can then figure out were to meet.

This reminds me of the one about the blond following the snowplow driver around the K-Mart parking lot because her Dad told her in bad weather to follow a snowplow.

-------------

As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door. The trucker lowers the window, and she says "Hi, my name is Heather and you are losing some of your load."

The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street. When the truck stops for another red light, the girl catches up again, She jumps out of her car, runs up and knocks on the door. Again, the trucker lowers the window. As if they've never spoken, the blonde says brightly, "Hi my name is Heather, and you are losing
some of your load!"

Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again and continues down the street.
At the third red light, the same thing happens again. All out of breath, the blonde gets out of her car, runs up, knocks on the truck door. The trucker rolls down the window. Again she says "Hi, my name is Heather, and you are losing some of your load!"

When the light turns green the trucker revs up and races to the next light. When he stops this time, he hurriedly gets out of the truck, and runs back to the blonde. He knocks on her window, and after she lowers it, he says...
"Hi, my name is Kevin, it's winter in Illinois and I'm driving the

SALT TRUCK!"
