You looked into Mid-Ohio at all? That seems like a pretty cool track to drive at.

I've looked at the track map and it does look pretty good. There was a lot of praise for that track from a lot of the guys I talked to at the NASA events last year.

I forgot what that was ... it's been way too long since I had that. Think I've just discovered a New Year's resolution!

Track junkies:

When you sign up for a track day, please let me know and I'll post it up as a meet. This way all the people who are wanting to see a track day before signing up will know when an 8 will be there to watch.

You're totally right - it'd been so long since I had a few free hours that I almost didn't know what to do with them...

I'm thinking the Sept Nasa event might be a good time for my wife to get her first track day in. I know it was a great experience for me, and a very comfortable track for a first-timer. Unless she wants to try sooner, which I think she might. By the end of those touring laps she did there, she seemed pretty psyched.

Other than that, not sure how many road trips we'll get in. Don't know how many times my folks will want to watch the dogs. And since they are so skittish (they are both rescues with rough pasts), I don't know that they'd do well with all the noise and commotion at the track.

I'm hoping to hit both Autobahn courses, hopefully on multiple occasions. I want to drive them both separately before doing the full course. And I'm hoping to get to Gingerman with mac, RD, and whoever else wants to go for a test and tune session fairly early in the season. I would be doing that one on my own, so my wife would be home to watch the dogs.

That was honestly the longest HOT DOG I've ever seen! I don't want to hear about what the old dude put in my iced tea!!! If Allen was skeerded of him, I was terrified!

Next thing you know we'll be hearing about stump cows again!

Congrats tdiddy on the "upgrade"

He was so nice and sincere! That's why I let him refill my tea ... then the other end of the table (ahem, Mark!) had to make comments about what he did in it.

Good luck! I'm hoping to be part of the "crew" that comes down to help install your PTP kit. Although I'll probably be in more of a "supervisory" role. But you never know when an extra set of hands will come in handy.

I actually made no such comment. I just commented on a story I saw on the news awhile back about fast food workers who, how should we say... added extra ingredients to some of the food.

Actually I think he was just a very nice, helpful guy. But Al made a good point about him maybe just being a little bit too nice. And he was awfully excited about getting you a refill. And he did put about ten lemons in the thing... I wonder what flavor he was trying to cover up....
