I'll snap his neck.
But he didn't, and now he is viperless. Must suck to have tasted that much power, had it available on a daily basis, and then lose it.
Problem with running from the cops is manyfold. One, if they get your plate number it doesn't matter how far you run. Two, they have radios. Three, they might have helicopters.

I spent too much on my tires to risk spike strips
I knew a guy that wired a switch to shut off all his rear lights, including his license plate lights. He had a truck, so he would just go off road to lose anybody chasing him. This would only work at night, of course.

Some cop cars are slow, and if not they aren't good at driving
WoW, this guy tried running from the cops with a viper and got caught hiding... I would have parked the car somewhere and walked somewhere else and pretended like nothing happened. (that's saying if they haven't got my plate number) Anywho, this story reminds me of this past summer when i was driving around arlington heights around 3 am and i was pretty bored and felt like driving fast, so when i stopped at a red light with a cop next to me... I smiled at him and revved to 9k. He rolled his window down and asked if it was "that rotor engine car" I said yes it is. Anyway long story short, he asked how fast it was and then i asked if he wanted to have a good ole race. So HAHA I raced a cop from a dig and won. It was very exciting and it got me a new cop friend. Since then i got pulled over in AH for speeding and it was him again and he just looked at me and said, "Oh hi again, don't drive that fast on this street cuz there's too many cops out." I said thank you and went on my merry way.

I'll call BS and say you've lost some credibility, but anyhoo... Mac, what do have that tow rope tied up to? I ask cause the front tow hook is on the passenger side in my car.

Rotary , eh?

And on the other end of the tow rope was an Audi A4.
