Sweet... a couple of ITRs. Maybe I'll drive my STi, looks like the Subies are under-represented.

 

Just wanted to give you guys a few notes before coming out this week. I know it sucks but with this many people and this many cars in one place the police are bound to show up unless we keep somewhat low key. The location of the meet is not on any main road and is unincorperated Naperville/Will County. The property owners are completly aware of the event and live on the property.

I hope that the majority of the people coming to this meet are adults or at least act like them and do not pull any stunts ON THE PROPERTY. There is a 5 miles stretch of road outside the fence and you can drive down the street and do something stupid there away from everyone else. All of the parking will be grass. Not mud, not dirt, grass. I have a lowered RX7 and can drive the entire length of the field with no problem at all. I don't suggest speeding cause if you do you will prolly screw your **** up and will deff be kicked out. I can go on all night long on rules but I think you all know what will be tolerated and what won't. Honestly zero tolerance though guys cause I just don't want the action of one to ruin it for everyone else. Also this is something I want everyone to remember. This is for member of the sites this was posted on. This isn't a public car show this is a meet and greet of tuners and enthusiast. (Sorry that has to be enforced)

Ok now that I got that crap out of the way. I wanted to remind people that confirmed, I know some of you are going to be late and **** like that but we can't hold your ideal spot forever. We will try to stick to the list of people that confirmed early to get the most ideal spots for the rest of you while spots remain but I assure you everything is in one central area anyways.

I don't know at this point how much coming and going we are going to allow. I suggest if you plan on coming and going that you park on the street which is 2 lanes and won't be a problem. You will see when you get there that there will be a lot of room on the larger lot. The smaller one will be mostly people planning on staying a while because we don't want a huge amount of traffic through this area.

The weather is looking awsome and it will probably one of the last nice days we get this year. Their are a lot of really nice cars coming out. I think everyone will have a good time.

P.S. Sorry I had to bring everyone down to reality but we all know if it gets out of hand the cops will break it up in a maater of hours or sooner. I think a smart thing to do would be to enlist some "help" to make sure everybody stays cool and what not, speaking from experience from our RC3 BBQ, any reason is a reason for the cops to show up and start flexing muscle. And I don't want to see one guy getting walked all over because the mass amount of people there, especially after going through all the trouble to set everything up.

This should clear up fo ryou guys the parking and how much the RX7 and RX8 crowd is seperated from the rest. It's not a long distance of seperation just a good 20 yards away from the other cars. The RX7 and RX8 parking is right off the drive so your only parking in the grass not really driving in it like the others.

 

Glad to see that our rotaries won't have to park next to the piston commoners Perhaps they will get with the program and join the "revolution".

What happened at the RC3 bbq?

 

DuPage Forest Preserve Police began ticketing cars for no front licence plates, improper parking and in one case for illegal window tinting when the car is as delivered from the factory.

 

I can assure you I will do everything in my power to make sure this meet goes as smoothly as possible.

 

ChitownR1, there were 4 people (one being me) that were on the RC3 list yesterday at the end of the day and now they are off it, did we just get accidently dropped and can we get back on the list?

yea the "illegal" tint (translation= NO TINT) ticket was mine (as well as a parking ticket). both being a nice $75 each.

3 appearances in court and it ended up that I had to either 1) bring in a window tint expert to explain that factory tint does not violate IL code or 2) plea bargain and pay one of the damn tickets in hopes that they would drop the other one.

i chose #2 (and it still pisses me off too!)
