Sorry for the ad post but I'm in a state of emergency.
WTB stock tires. Must have at least 10,000 miles left in them (if you are looking to sell a set of 4). I need them ASAP. I got a nail in the sidewall of my back left tire and I have no other vehicle to get around in. 4 or 2 (or 1 with 20,000 miles already on them will do). PM me with any possibilites and we'll figure something out.
I'm in Dayton and will pickup all the way to Columbus.
THANKS!

woohoo! just got my new 8............
Sorry I couldn't post any updates along the way b/c I didn't want to say anything until the deal was final........but Mazda Corp. lemon law'ed my 05 RX8! While I had quite a few problems with the car, I think what put it over the edge was the bad service from Kerry (some may have read the first part of the story on the bad dealer thread....but it got worse, including them installing the sunroof glass in backwards, then saying the resulting noise/leak was normal).
In the end after a 2 month long negotiation with Mazda, they replaced my 05 Ti Gray Touring with an 07 Galaxy Gray GT (with Nav
)!
I got the car yesterday, and enjoyed driving it around a bit...but until the salt is washed off the roads and the weather warms up, it is staying in the garage for a while.

Hey guys...
Havent posted in a while, but thought I would invite you all to join us at our first meet in Indy on March 11th. All the info is in the forum. We will be having a meet to discuss events for this summer, and weather permitting, have a nice little mini-cruise!
We have a few cincy guys (moete87 and 6speedrenesis) that are active members and would really like it if you could join us!
Later,
Frank

Looking through this thread I see there are a few Cincinnati RX8 owners out there. I've just started looking at rx8club.com and finally made it to the local users forum. Anyone in Cincinnait interested in getting together. I live in the Loveland area, had my car for about 8 months, and would like to find some more 8 owners around.

Ro-T8, whats going on man? I am from the loveland area too. What color 8 did you get? We are always trying to get meets going on here in cincy. I am usually around the loveland area a few times a week and on sunday to have dinner with the parents, but I reside in Hyde Park / Oakely area. Have you done any mods to your 8?
Keep checking back to this forum or go to indyrx8club.com forum. They are always having meets and there are def alot of great guys there that love their 8!

moete87-
I bought an 04 in Titanium gray. The car is still under warranty, so I'm taking it easy on the mods for now. Plus my wife might not want me spending any more cash on the car for awhile!
I did move the gas pedal cover plate over one set of holes to make the heel-toe work a little smoother. I also did the throttle body coolant line bypass mod. I only run the car from April thru October, and don't think TB heating is doing any good. Both of these were described on the mods section of this forum.
What's your story, car, mods,?
I'm hoping over the next few days we hear from some more 8's in Cincy. Last fall I did a run down the Ohio river to Ripley and up toward Worthington/Hillsboro (?) and it was simply fantastic. I thought it would be great to see a half-dozen or so 8's on a day like that.
If there's some interest, let's put something together.
Adios for now.

I've been doing bi weekly runs through SE indiana with some other rx8 owners, Next time we plan on going i'll shoot you a PM with the details.
I'm on the westside of Cincy, living in Delhi. I'm also active with the Indyrx8club as well. You should attend the meeting on the 28th.
As far as what mods are on my 05 MT Titanium GT:
Racing Beat Oil Cooler Guards, Racing Beat Water Cooler Guard, REVi RAM Air , REVi Clod Air Intake, Clear Corners with Stealth Bulbs, Mazdaspeed Dual Can sport Ehaust, Swapped Single CD for 6 CD player. Racing beat front and rear swaybars, Racing beat Endlinks, Racing Beat springs, Tokico adjustable Gas Shocks, and switch back and forth between winter tires to deal with the snow.

Ro-T8, just saw that you posted in the cincy meet in newport thread. Weve been trying hard to get people together to meet up and do a cruise, but its just so hard to get people to even want to come to one here in cincy. All ive seen around here are old people driving 8s, like people in their 50s and 60s.
Anyways, I am always down for a meet here in cincy. I have a brilliant black 8 with black and red leather interior. 6 speed. Changed my single cd to 6 cd. Put new fog light bulbs and new little daytime lights. Clear corners and stainless steel strakes. Tint all around and a Magnaflow Exhaust. Also put in 2 10inch MTX subs and MTX amp, need some bump. Im looking at doing some mods here soon before the summer is over with.....ive been thinking about getting Tein springs with mazdaspeed sideskirts. I am getting new summer performance tires here in about a week or so. What I really want is that Pettit Supercharger.....one can dream.
Anyways, lets try to get something together soon. I know its suppose to be gorgeous out from here on out for a week or so. I know Joe (6speedrenesis) is always down for a cruise and meet. Actually I helped my gf buy a RX8 a few weeks ago. She wanted silver but they couldnt find anything she wanted on it, so she got a BB too. Crazy..I know! Anyways, we need to get a meet going.

Mondays are always good for me if you guys want to follow me through 120 mile of Indiana Backroads.
Not much on East or West side of cincy to really get on it and Push the limits of your car for any extended period of time.

Hey all Cincinnati -8's,
I thought I'd try to kick off a simple get together, so let me see if this works. I'll suggest a couple of times and places, and which ever get's the most available people, we'll do.
How about Saturday, June 16 or June 23?
Meet at Newport on the Levee, or Ault Park (Hyde Park).
Post a reply with your preferred day and we'll sort out a good place to meet up, suggest someplace to go for a cruise, then maybe a pub for wings and a beer after.
I'll post this same message in the -Newport on the Levee- thread in this same forum - sorry, I don't know how to link threads in here.
I'm really hoping something comes together and a few RX-8's gather up. If you know any RX-7's in the area, invite them too and let's all connect.
Adios for now.

I was hoping to get going sooner than 8:30 - 6Speed, are you sure you're not looking at a case of the 24-hr flu? kidding...
I'm not sure what everyone's up for, but I was thinking a cruise down the river a ways. Newport down to Ripley and back on the KY side of the river would be about a 100 miles - too far, too short, what are people up for? I was thinking the afternoon/evening, and people can carry on later if they'd like.
Let me know what you're up for.

There is a fairly agressive 100 mile loop that i run on occasion through SE indiana if some of you guys would be up for it

Man.. that 23th is perfect... i dont know if alot of us can do it during the weekdays...
I was thinking about meeting up early around 4 or 3 on that free parking lot right across Hofbrauhaus and sideways of newport in the levee... then we can go for a cruise, I dont care where... or we can head up to devou park and take some pics of the 8's with the cincy background for future meetings.
then maybe head back to newport and get some beers and food at the Hofbrauhaus.
what do you think?

I think we should keep any updates in this threat because its confucing when we have the same event in two threats.

OK - we'll stick to the "other" thread - Cincinnati 8 Meet at Newport On The Levee
Go to that thread for further details on the June 23 cruise.
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=96893
My bad for starting this in two places.

norms8,
Welcome to the club. Also, check out indyrx8club.com. There is more of a local crowd that belongs to that club. More organized and very professional group that is alot of fun!
What are the specs on your ride? Done anything to it? My parents live in Loveland / Indain Hill. So I am by kings mazda time to time.

My 8 is straight stock, 6 spd, GT package, with the exception of higher temp track brake pads. I've been doing high performance drivers eds at Mid Ohio, Putnam, Nelson Ledges and a number of other tracks and am now instructing for PCA and NASA. Last fall, I had to take the 8 to a school at Putnam because my track car, a 1984 RX-7 GSL SE, wasn't ready to go (is now). I wasn't impressed, BTW, having driven a 3rd gen twin turbo and the track prepped 1st gen at the track.
