Cincinnati 8 owners

Being new to the area I can't really say......however, I do have some thoughts on the topic
Before I bought my RX8, I built/installed a turbo system for my Jetta 2.0 (N/A) including a custom manifold (built by a local guy...AMAZING welder), intercooler, and all the piping was custom. Granted I don't know a thing about rotaries, but I can tell you from experience that its not a great idea to buy a "kit". I found that by piecing the kit together, and doing the work yourself, that you learn a lot about how it works/goes together so that when (and I emphasize WHEN) something breaks, you will know what it was because you will be much more familiar with how it went together. Also, the more you learn about it, the more you recognize that most "kits" try to please the majority, but you can find that certain components are lacking in certain areas...by researching and piecing it together yourself, you can be sure you are getting what you want and it really isn't that hard to do.
Just my 2cents....I'd be willing to offer up any advice on turbo components, etc etc but once again, I don't know a thing about rotaries!

ive only driven it a few times unfortunately, but its awesome. probably a good thing that i dont drive it b/c it puts the 8 to shame. hes actually got two, the 355 is his everyday car (at least in the summer) and hes also got a testerossa (and the blue wrx with the flames and super-sweet yellow hood scoop!) if youve ever been to the concors one of the two are there pretty much every year. he lives over in turpin hills so if you ever see him out say hi, hes the most laid back guy youll ever meet and hed appreciate talking cars with anyone. hell, if you want he wouldnt think twice about givng you a ride

Sounds like you have an awesome dad and tell him I will take one of those Fararris off his hands if he needs someone to take care of it.
Everyone have a great Easter!

Got an SCCA autocross event this Sunday at Ford Sharonville (www.CincySCCA.com)....hoping to see at least a couple 8's out there!

yeah i still need that key. next friday is payday so i can come up there or whatever.
i'll probably go to the autocross this sunday, but i don't think i'll be participating in it. i want to see how it goes first before i subject my car to it since i'm still a novice driver. i'll go for a ride along. do they have spare helmets?

yea they have a bunch of helmets for ride-alongs, etc. I am a novice as well, and I can say it is a lot easier to get around the track than I thought....the tough part is being really fast, competitive. I was very intimidated before actually trying it!
my car number is 18 if you go!
