pretty much, its off clough which is off 32 right at beechmont. the only black ones i saw were around kenwood, perhaps that was you?

Hey guys, if you like good original music you should go here and vote for SUBLIMINAL. Its my buddies band, they are really good. Or if you like any of the other bands vote for them, just make sure you give some of them a try and vote for somebody.

ms292399: I'm sure it's cool to post that here, I think all us Cincy guys are fine with it. I already voted for Kristen Key, though

moete87: I think that Custom Designs out in Western Hills is supposed to be a good shop for that sort of thing. If you see a riced out import, it's usually on the west side anyway, so maybe they have a lot of experience... (yeahyeah, I'm starting the east-side-vs-west-side argument!)

Yesterday I got rear ended turning into my job. Luckily I was driving a Kia Spectra and my 8 was only a spectator. Some guy in an older model Altima slid into me while I was picking up a customer. What the hell is with drivers in this city?

I'm fine. My neck was a little stiff for 1/2 a day, but it went away. It was just some kid, maybe in his low to mid 20's. I actually felt kind of sorry for him. When I was 19 I hydroplaned into the back of someone. Granted my attitude toward it would be completly different had it been my car. It was kind of wierd after it was over because I had this whole "whatever" attitude towards it since other than me being in the car, it had nothing to do with me.

Speaking of accidents, there's another black RX-8 at Jake Sweeny body shop missing a front bumper. Does that belong to anyone?

That's cool. When you turned behind me up Kenwood, I started to wonder where you were going. I've got a client out in Blue Ash I meet with every now and again. Didn't hear your exhaust, though - had the A/C on and the stereo turned up pretty loud. Wish I had heard it, been thinking about upgrading myself.

I was getting my right shoulder looked at. Use to play college ball for 3 years at U of Toledo until I had to have 3 shoulder surgeries to take care of the problem. So just recently its been killing me and went to him to take a look at it. Had to get a Kortizone shot.

I love the color green on the 8. I got my magnaflow exhaust on a few days ago and I love it! Looking to fo FI in about a year or so. Waiting on what others have to say about the PTP turbo before I consider buying it.

The car that Han drove, the orange one, what kind of car is that? I think I have seen it before but I cant remember.

the veilside kit is worth more than the bluebook on the car. i think it would have been better if they went with the RE Amemia kit as it would have actuall assisted the performance of the car.

I'm thinking about getting the MS cold air intake. Should I just have Mazda do it, or does anyone know anothe shop I should go to for the install?

maybe you guys heard this or maybe not.

Last week i was out to lunch with a co-worker, we were BSing and i said something about thinking of trading in my '04 for an '06. Well he comes to me today and tells me that he heard a radio ad from a dealership he couldn't remember, that said all new mazdas have a life time warranty from that dealership. I was just wondering if anyone has heard this, or if he is just full of crap (which is what i'm thinking, but i figure i'll ask somebody a little more in the loop)

No I havent heard of anything like that. Hes prolly grabbing your *****. But if that was the case I would do the same. Trade in my 05 for an 06 with all the goodies.

Nodoz: Not sure. I had Kings Mazda install my Magnaflow exhaust and they did a very good job on it. But it was all just a bolt on, ya know? So I dont know what to tell you about an intake setup. Why not do it yourself?

I seriously doubt anyone would put a lifetime warrenty on any car especially this one with all its issues. The longest warrenties I know of come from the Japanese luxury cars like Acura, Infinity and Lexus, and they only offer 7 years. Technically you can get a Hyundai with a 10 year powertrain, but its warrenty doesn't even come close to what Acura or Infinity's does.

As far as doing the mod myself, I have no clue how to work on cars. I can point to where stuff is, but that's about it, and I seriously don't want to experiment on it at risk of voiding my warrenty. Especially since I still owe on it.

Just got back from King's for my oil change. Awesome service. I asked about the intake and it'll be about $600 including install, unfortunatly I forgot my 30k mile service is up and that's about $500, so I'm going to have to wait a bit longer to get my mods. Hopefully I'll have both the intake and exhaust done by September or October. I want the flywheel too, but it's expensive and will kill my fuel economy the way I currently drive. Not ready to do that just yet.

Kings is a great place to get service. I go there and they are the best! Wow, $600 for intake install? Thats alittle pricey. What kind of exhaust do you have? What other mods are you putting on your 8?

Their price for the intake is $400 something and another $160 for install, so I just rounded up. Right now I think I'm just going to do the intake, catback exhaust, and flywheel. I've decided to hold off in rims and tires for now since I still have plenty of tred left, and that would be more of a cosmetic mod anyways. Part of me wants to get the RE Amemiya kit so my 8 will truely stand out from most of the others on the road, but I can't justify spending that much on a body kit right now either.
