We don't have points in IL. You can probably just plead guilty and get supervision, check the back of your ticket. Is a court appearance required?

Oh, BTW, my insurance finally saw my huge ticket from 1 1/2 years ago (the one in Wisconsin) my premium only went up $16 per 6 mo period. I thought that was pretty lucky

This is correct. Check your ticket. A court appearance for Supervision may not be required.
BTW, since you are from out of state, you may not know about Supervision. In Illinois law, you may request Supervision after pleading Guilty. This means you pay the fine, but after completing a probationary period (which may be anywhere from instantly to 90 days) there will be no record of the offense on your record. There is now a limit to how many times you can be given Supervision (2). A couple of years ago, there wasn't a limit on how many times a judge could assign this.
Also, Illinois dosn't use a point system. 3 tickets in one year, brings up your licence for review. This all most all ways means your licence will be revoked.

Aero, how about mid August? People are getting confused (and I'm getting lots of emails) about when we switch up monthly meet stuff. And I'm pretty sure it's due to dontcha think?

BTW: the monthly meet this month is cancelled due to the RC3 BBQ

Paint ball as well. I'll actually do some looking on line this weekend.

Found this http://www.thebadlandz.com/index.htm

I doubt we can get 30 people so we may have to do it as walk on's. $35 including rental, another $20 for paint. In the past 500 ***** have been enough. I'll check if there are any other a little more north/west.
Keep me posted! I'd love to try it!

I'd go skydiving but I don't have $200 to drop on it anytime soon.

Thanks, that's good to know. I don't have to be appear in court. I spoke to a traffic lawyer today and he said that he can make it so that it's off my record (for a small fee of $100). I think I might have heard him say that it's off the record as long as I'm ticket free for 6 months. Does that make sense?

Yeah, I believe that's called Court Supervision. Where your ticket goes off your record but if within the time-frame you're on supervision you get another ticket I think they suspend your license.

I never did that and I wish I did. Got two tickets within 6 months of eachother and lost my license for 3 months anyways.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to bring him into this thread too

I'm thinking 8/11 or 8/25 (I can't go the week in between)the only issue is that both are within a week of a monthly meet and I know it is hard for some to get out every week.

The later date would give people more time to get some money saved up for it.

Let me know what you guys think about the dates or if you have a different one in mind. There are only 5 or 6 of us interested and I don't want to just pick a date where only half the people can go, so give me your feedback!

Is this for the Paintball or Skydiving? Those dates are good for me regardless.

Well I was talking about skydiving, but I did have paintball in mind too. I wasn't sure if you were planning that for a little sooner since we still have the whole month of july ahead of us.

If you wanted to use both dates in august (one for each) or push back skydiving that would be fine with me too.

I was looking at the badlands website to check the 30 people min. That is only for weekdays.

For the weekends they have a package that requires 10 people min and one that requires 15 min.

I called them to mke sure I was reading it right too. The woman said normally 2 or more weeks are good to get the reservation, there is a $75 deposit when you register, and then the rest of it must be paid in full for the group one week before the date we are playing.

From what it looks like on the website people could come last minute also, but they would pay a little more.

THE STANDARD PACKAGE (Sat. & Sun.)
Private Game Player Entry Fee:

$40.00/ person needing a rental package. (Semi-Auto Marker, CO2, Tank, Hopper, Mask & Goggles)

$30.00 /person with their own equipment and includes the following:

Or choose from many different brands also at great prices. Or BYOP

+ Unlimited air fills

+ Players added at the door will be at
$35.00/person w/ own equipment.
$45.00/person w/ rental.

Oh, and that's cool that it's only an additional $5 if you just show up. Thanks for heading this up Aero!!!

So I am trying to make an in between meet.
