Hello guys and girls. My name is Jackson Gregg and I've recently been elected into the position of PR Rep. for the IndyRX8Club.... so I wanted to say hello to you all and introduce myself. I understand that there are several hours between the two cities and that we probably won't interact that often, but I'd like to make sure that our two clubs are in good standing and that if the situation were to arise, that we could come together at/for an event or function. I've met a few Chicago guys at some Indy meets and I understand that one or two of our guys have come up for some of your events. Anyway, like I said, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I hope that 2008 is a great year for you guys/girls. It looks like it's going to be the best year yet for the Indy Club.

Welcome to EVOLV-Chicago!! It would be great to have some joint meets/events. The first post in this thread is always updated with the most current information (except for now, cuz everything just changed as of this afternoon!)I got spotted this past summer at a wedding in IN by one of your members. Wish I could remember his name, but he gave me one of the spotted cards and we had a whole discussion on how the rotor emblem in the seatback fits into the emblem area on the rear of the car

) and we figured out some issues with the schedule. Everything has been set now. I will post up ALL of the information in the first post later this morning (need some caffeine before I tackle that).We still have some tricks up our sleeves that we will unveil in the next coming months!

So I went to the initial meeting, and I thought I had a good idea of what was in the works for the year. Let me be the first to say that the final schedule exceeds my expectations. I hope to be able to attend most events. GREAT JOB TO ALL INVOLVED!!!! Hopefully the members can make your hard work pay off by making the events a success. Keep up the great work, it is appreciated.

Alright everyone, here is more info on whirly ball!
Before I get into details, Lets look at what whirly ball is:

"Agility. Speed. Strength. None of these qualities will be of any use in the highly-competitive world of WhirlyBall. Although it combines lacrosse, hockey and basketball with bumper cars, WhirlyBall has caused great athletes of every stripe to laugh and holler their way to a crushing defeat.
If you choose to accept the challenge, you’ll use hand-held scoops to propel whiffle ***** at your scoring target. In a team of five, and with the help of a professional referee, you’ll have a bang-up time trying to outscore the competition."
There are two teams with 5 people each on the court.
As RSD said in the info from the first post, the event requires pre-registration. This is because for the event to work well, we will need to reserve a court. Court reservations are by the hour and to reserve a court more than a week in advance we need to reserve it for at least 2 hours.
The cost will be $20 per person and will include approximately 1 hour of court time. Since there are only 10 people on the court at a time, if we have 12 people show up and a court reserved for an hour, obviously someone isn't going to play the full hour.
The court will only be reserved based on people that have prepaid by 02-23-08. For every 10 people the court will be reserved for 1 hour.
There are two ways to pay:
1) Pay me in person at the meet this Saturday Feb 9th. (this is the best way)
2) Paypal.
If you want to join us please add your name to the list below along with how you want to pay. If it is paypal I will send you a message with the address.

Hey Chicagoland! Just another indyrx8club officer stopping by to say hi. I think I actually met some of you at a wedding in northern indiana a while back. Pretty sure redshedevil was the lady I spoke with about my custom rear rotary accent. (I had a black 8 with blue accents) Just wanted to say hi and hope our clubs could get together sometime for a mega-meet of some sort.
