On June 7th there will be a dyno day/cook out at Performance Autowerks in Plainfield. The dyno day is set to begin at 9am and conclude at 6pm with the cookout around 12pm.
There is also a Lakeshore meet scheduled for that evening but no details have been posted. Is this still going on? Charles R. Hill and MazdaManiac will be in town that weekend and I would like to bring them to this meet but I would like to see some more details. Can someone finish setting this meet up and provide details? I would do it but I don't live in Chicago and I already have enough on my plate for that weekend.

It's also on the first post here...remember, there are 3 Bemis stores on that road (Rt 23 - which is also called DeKalb Ave) This is at the Ford Mazda Hyundai Store on the corner of 23 and Peace Road.

Don't forget that I90 is seriously jacked up around the Rockford interchanges - make sure you get off like at 173 and then take surface roads to 39 south unless you know the back roads - there is a section of cherryvalley road (one of the back roads) that is closed - I don't know what they have for a detour - I've just been going other ways...

Hey guys my first post here, i pm'd about joining the club, I have a 2005 A/T WWP rx8 and i plan on going to sycamore on friday, its about a hour away from my house. Just to tell you guys a little bit about my self im 17 I live in ottawa, Im actually getting ready to graduate the end of this month and im a telephone sales rep at JC whitney. I plan on getting to know all of you, and hopefully make it to a bunch of the meets, i also saw the skydiving one and i may be interested in that depending on when it is. My birthday is july 16th so im not sure if i will be old enough or not. Skydive Chicago is about 10 miles from my house.

Ok - well I'd obviously take 90 toward rockford (you said you're coming from Madison)- but I'd jump off like at 173 in Machesney Park, and then take regular roads to I39 (either head to the bypass (20) and then head to I39 south, or head over to Harrison Ave by Cherryvale Mall and then get on I39 south) Either way, I personally would avoid taking 90 to 39 - I think you'll get stuck in traffic. You'll want 39 south to RT 64, and you'll head east. When 64 hits peace road, go right - the next major intersection is RT 23 and Peace road - the dealership is on the corner. From Rockford not taking the back roads, plan on 50 minutes.
