Anyway, I'm dropping out of the RX-8 club scene so I won't be attending the weekly meets or posting in this thread anymore. I want to spend time focussing on other clubs that I'm in such as Euroteknik.
Best of luck with growing EVOLV-Chicago. Those of you in JGTCA.com, see you at their meets. Those of you in the track scene, see you at the track. Everybody else, see you on the forums.
Cheers,
Matt

Yes, it was GREAT to meet you at the zoomzoom event. Sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you, I got wrapped up in some discussons with the Windy City Miata Club (not that are more important , but it was a Miata event).
It is awesome to see how enthusiastic everyone is about our products. I was also impressed with RedSheDevils driving abilities (you have to love a girl who isn't afraid of the red line).
Thank you for promoting our products and please keep in touch. If there is anything I can do, let me know (I will check on the nav update cd for you).

unfortunately that wasn't my MS8. I was parked like 2 spots away. What time did you get there? When I parked around 13:00 I doubt I saw any other 8s around me other than the MS one. People who came after me were using the MS8 and my car to compare between the haves and the have-nots.
I wish I had brought like a huge banner or placard with me that said EVOLV chicago so that me and other newbies like me could meet up with you folks there.
Did you guys notice that at the School of Zoom, only the Velocity Red one had a spoiler and the rest didn't. That made me wonder, is the spoiler just aesthetic or does it come into play at all? Any thoughts anyone

Uh oh, drama in the EVOLV? I haven't met Machan (Matt) personally, but i kinda chatted w/ him over at Euroteknik... he's a hardcore enthusiast waaaay before he got his 8... (his BMW's are nice too)..he's a well-loved and respected person there... a moderator too, err-- or was. WHAT HAVE YOU GUYS DONE?!?!? Hopefully you guys work things out somehow.
BTW... the name sounds cool and it was the name of the concept car that became the 8.. but it reminds me of the EVO??? Like EVO-LasVegas? I dunno oh well, don't mind me... rock on people!

Was chattin with RedSheDevil in another thread and would like to invite you guys to log into www.indyrx8club.com . We have a forum very similar to RX8club.com and we are by no means trying to take people away... just offer a more local forum.
Please feel free to sign up to the forum and send me your name, pic of yourself and your car, and we will post ya as a member. We have plenty of room for all of our Chicago RX-8 brothers and sisters =).
Hope to see and hear from all of you!

I was another 8 Tagged at Zoom Zoom.. Been a year long lurker, just havent posted.
Had the Winning Blue 8 in the front row closest to the Performance Track on Saturday.
May see about swinging out and catching some of the events. Got the bug of the autocross at the event. (was my first run) was able to pull out 39.5 on my first run out. Wanted to run again, however Obligations got in the way.

So is there going to be a meet this week, or are we waiting another week because of Zoom Zoom last weekend?
I shouldn't have my car back until Wed. The place I took it to is really backlogged...

Thursday would be nice...if anyone has a suggestion, feel free to comment...otherwise I'll see if I can come-up with one. Thing is, I'm not too familiar with the suburbs, and we just had one downtown where I am.
I know...how about the Bong Rec Center????

Well, I'm out for a meet this week also as they cannot repair my door. I'm having to get the outer shell replaced and that is being ordered. So I won't have my car until early next week now...life is still good.

I don't think even Major Bong would be this cruel.
No rental, no way to make it to the next meet. I'm taking the train to work, instead. Better that way as I'd prefer not to be driving around whatever "sh1tbox" they'd give me.
