There is a drift day (DD11) this Saturday (06/24/2006). It is at Road America but at the shifter kart track that is also located there. I know this becasue I am going. So I will miss yet another meet

I'm thinking of adding an aftermarket rear spoiler to my 8, and need to find a place that will paint and install it. Anybody got any suggestions of a good place to get this done in the western burbs?

I know of two perfect places that can do just the thing. Both locations are in Aurora. I get my work done at Hollywood Collision and at Neat Street II. Send me an email if your interested.

Have you added any mods to the 8 or is it pretty drift capable as is????

sorry Jerry, but I think I fall into the "drifting is not for me" camp.

I saw on edmunds where they say it is actually very hard to drift an RX-8 because it is so well balanced. They had a video about it - they took a stock RX-8 to a drift day and ended up having to get a drifting expert to try it. Not sure if they still have the video or not.

So this is the first meet I am going to be able to make. I will be stopping at the bank today to take out a small loan to fill my tank and then I will see you all @ Portillo's. Who all is going???

Thanks all for such a warm welcome to a gorgeous night. Tis a beautiful sight to see all those RX-8's lined up, but I was most impressed with their owners. I hope our paths get to cross many more times.
Thanks so much for coming out and spending a few hours. I'm back to Bama safe & sound, and my "Blue Pearl" was happy to see me. At least I assume that's why her tail wagged after she warmed up some.
