i read the meth works on a progressive unit and pumps the proper amount needed based on a built in boost gauge. thus you coudl set it to tun on at say.. 7psi up. This is how i am reading the AEM anyway. If i am wrong feel free to correct me on that one.
Well in that case then it may be worth it, I know here in CR there is only 1 station and its across town. And another about 15 mins away in some lil town. So for me its not worth it too much, unless i take 2 15galon jugs everytime so i dont have to fill up every 2 days.

And yes it can run on that system too, but (some) people don't turn it on unless they gonna drive hard. Cause if your just cruising not going hard there is no need for AI since your at a safe point. But look at a system flow per hour or minute then just divide that by the gallons u need. Im sure a gallon can last you a whole day, since you don't drive it 24hrs. Just fill it everytime you leave home lol

Yeah, e85 woudl totally not be worth it for you. If i had to worry about where to fill up when i am driving aroudn town or around town then i would not even consider it.

Yeah but im still gonna plan to do it on the 20b. But i will just have to swap out tunes. Mostly for track though since e85 is cheaper than race fuel and almost as good.

Deff pay for a pro to tune it. Then you will never have a problem, unless its mechanical. Iv read that some people have ran Kan's tune for over 2 years with out problems.

A good friend of mine talks to Kan on a regular basis. Another has had his car tuned by him. I believe they are trying to get him to des moines here shortly if they get enough cars for it. I am up in the air on who i want to have mine tuned by. I am thinkin about just having chris (esmeril) do it since its his kit and he seems to be doing wonders with his own car and he is alot closer and would be convenient.

just cause its his kit it don't mean he is the better tuner. Kan don't make kits and look at his work.. All i know is chris charges like 300 bucks for a street tune. And i think that is what it was for Kan and a 1hr dyno time down in STL. But yeah do whats convenient for you. I would upgrade turbos before a huge tune.

Not saying he is the better tuner. I know Kan has more then enough experience and has dont it for years and would prolly get ive better tune. However if he is nowhere near for a few months when i need a tune. Chris may be the way to go. After all he tuned his own that was an e85 rx8 with a large turbo ( mine is smaller but will be upgraded).

Ah nothing wrong with that. Actually there is talk for a kan tune in mn here soon. But I don't think you will have your car done by then. Either way I can't wait to see a rx8 with esmeril kit being pushed to it's limits. Gt35 and ai will make a sweet 400whp lol

Yeah thats another thing. I am not really sure what turbo i want to upgrde to. however i will prolly stick wiht this one for a bit till i get some cash for a better one. Hopefully it does not crap out on me before then. 400 whp would be crazy awesome. Still not sure what my goal is yet. I htink i would like a reliable 325- 350 whp or better.

GT35. cant go wrong with that. most people using that kit on a 13b have an easy 350whp on medium boost. 400s on high boost. Thats what i would recommend, if your gonna rebuild ur engine might as well bridge it. polish ur runners and tb. renny at 1200rpm sounds nice

you should upgrade to a haltech. and you gonna need a cobb if you do int x and port. then you can set ur idle at 1300rpm.

I believe you tried gettin me to go haltech a little while back. I have a brand new INT-X sittin in my garage waiting for the rebuild. I ibelieve the INT-X wqill do just fine. -Hopefully anyway- I believe chris has his ported reni idleing high with jsut the INT-X. It has been awhile since i have followed that thread though. The Main reason i would also run the Cobb (if i ever do so but am not really planning on it) would to get rid of the iddiot lights on the dashboard. Maybe add soem more oil to the mix (mremix will be a must). But i am htinking we will see how the INT-X works out with all of this.

yep. lol haltech=the ****!! lol all i hear is good things so cant go wrong with it.
but yeah the int x should be okay too, just get it rebuilt like you said. And i think chris had to get a cobb just to fix that idle problem, but maybe he got it fixed with out it.
Either way i guess your a long way from finishing so you have lots of time to decide.

Rx7s want to finalize this meet. Does September 26-27th work out for you guys?

September 26th is the midcoast road rally in des moines... and well all over central IA. You guys should greatly consider just meeting up and doing the rally. Plenty of extremely nice cars and lots of great people. A whole day of having fun and enjoying yoru rides. Plus there is usually a crazy afterparty. This year midcoast is teaming up with the Iowa speedway. That will be one of the stops along the way and i believe its the stop for our lunch also. Yes, the cars do get to go on the track also. Something to think about anyway.
