I May be interested in a short block or a housing aor two in a moth or two. Still have not gotten around to actually pulling the motor and doin the rebuild. Not sure what the inside looks like yet. May also be interested in the plastic fuel assembly that holds the fuel pump along with the giant plastic ring that holds it in.

plan of action thats partially underway is esmeril apex seals, full atkins rebuild kit, taking it to a-spec tunign to have it studded and ported then reassembled. Also switching to e85 along the way. should be a pretty solid build i believe

Sounds pretty good. I would drop the Esmeril seals since i haven't seen much about them and have you rotors milled to 3mm then you can use all sort of seals. And if you don't plan to go above 450hp don't stud it. there shouldnt be a need for it.
but otherwise that sounds like a solid plan. Do most of the work yourself so you can save some money

Tear down and build back up will be done with me and a friend who has rotary experience. As far as the Esmeril seals go, i already have them and have yet to hear anything bad about them (yes they are relitively new so there is not much data either way on them i know).
End goal on e-85 i am looking to do a "safe tune" and would be happy wiht anything over four hundred. I have been looking around on turbo upgrades and talkign to a few people. I think i have decided to go GT3574r from A-spec also. Seems like alot of Rx7 guys are happy with it and its puttin out the amount of horse that i would like.
The studding would be more of a safety thing. I have the motor open so better be safe then sorry kinda thing. Never know what the future will hold and what advancements may be made to get our motors to put out some power. Feel free to keep the ideas and comments coming. Alot of the time people bring up ideas that i have not even thought of yet. Outside input is always welcome.

Have you thought about lower comp rotors? Rx7 t2 rotors would be nice i believe they a 9.1 comp and you get the benefit of running standard apex seals. All you need to do is get the rotating assembly balanced when you go that route.
Also the gt35R is a good turbo good enough for 450s with a great tq band. just make sure its the R version and maybe pay a little extra for water cooled.
If you have the seals awesome. Its just that i don't trust their data too much they can be in-accurate. lol
Also what EMU you plan to use? you can remove the renesis front cover and use a traditional 12a front cover you can have a variety of ecus then.
hope the best for you.
Sorta kinda. I still rather sell it cause i rather have 1-2 $3k FD rollers in my garage than a 14k rx8. but will see if i keep it im gonna strip anything i dont need or want and just stuff it in a garage for a while. Rx3 has my priority i need to have it street ready for april.

Remember end goals are one thing, but usually when you reach them you want more!

Would T2 rotors just be a strait up swap? No other modifications, well besides balancing? that would be realy interesting to do and lower compression could mean more boost saftely. thats definately soemthign to look into. Right now i am runnign the INT X. Have not really givin it any thought about switching.
I planned on getting hte motor done and reinstalling with the e85... running it withe the stock esmeril turbo for a break in ... then upgrading the turbo. It will definately be the R version and water cooled would also be a must.
