Steve Kan, Went to texas over the weekend for him to tune my friends rx7. Also dropped off my motor for him to do the rebuild on it. Had a decent time and hes a good guy to joke around with. Very smart guy and was nice to drill him with questions about differnt options on what setup i would like to run.
Either way that's cool you guys got that Rx7 tuned by a reliable person. Its always worth spending some extra cash for well knowledge people.

Went to texas since its his own shop and he does not have to rush. Rob (the guy i went with) has known him for a few years now and has been down a few times. Steve built his motor also. We had issues with the RX7 and we left it still sitting on the dyno when we returned to IA. Long story short, steve will Drive it up instead of flying when he does the tuning session in MN.
When I do get my car tuned, i will again go to texas. Cant beat having him tune the car in his own place. Especially if there are issues to be sorted out. We spent atleast six hours on the dyno with that seven - having ignition issues - and it was never rushed and never seemed as if anyone was getting fed up with working on cars. Again just a pleasent experience working with him.

Fee should only be $30-$35, I can't remember.
Most cars can enter (expect for high riding cars that might tip over). Trans Am is a great car to go out there with. People bring all sorts of cars from full out gutted kit cars to stock grand prix's (I rented a cobalt for an event last year). Everyone I know who has gone out for the first time and raced had an absolute blast, no matter what car they drove.
