I daily drive mine year around. All you need is a good set of winter tires (blizzacks i would recommend) and you will get around fine. I am from Idaho originally and I haven't had any problems. Any vehicle will really get around as long as you aren't stupid about it.

My last car was an A4 Quattro, and before that I had a couple of Wranglers, so I am kind of used to "go anywhere, anytime" in the winter. I think it's the "Being smart about it" that I need to deal with. What should I expect to pay for a set of Blizzacks, and do I need 4 or can I get away with just doing the rears?

I hate to say it but it is not practical at all in the winter. Unless my Eagle GT tires are whats making it so hard to get traction it will slide all over the road with only a small amount of snowfall. The DSC traction control helps but still it's definitely not meant for winter driving.

I have tried putting 87 in mine too for a while now, the performance definitely goes down but my mileage increased and i definitely saved money. I doubt the gas prices will go down though.. I put in 92 on the weekends and let her fly! Also I moved back to Sedalia so I only visit KC occasionally

Wake up KC we need to do another meet up before I sell my baby! I know i will regret it but I desperately need a truck! Cant pull a ski-boat with my 8.. Its definitely my most favorite car that I've owned though! but I think the ladies will miss it more..

Sport edition 6 spd MT Nordic green 2004, will trade for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4-door TRD

I live in Olathe and I actually saw quite a few awhile driving to school and around the greater KC area. I do wave to a few of those that look my way but receive just weird stares...Guess people are not as friendly anymore...

BTW, your blue LED corner lights look awesome in the pic. Is that legal? Where did you get those? Any pic of your LED tail-light?

thanks! they look awesome in person especially when its clean ill post more pics soon, just havent had a chance too much going on, the taillight led's are the ones from rotaryfx they look pretty legit too, i havent done the blinkers yet the price is kinda up there since you gotta put in the resistors and stuff, ill get to it eventually.and I have no idea if its legal or not, i heard they imitate cop car lights so they are illegal but ive seen a lot of cops at night and they just drive by without pulling me over, its been about 6 months or so that i had them and no problems yet.

I am from the STL area and I'm looking for a place to park my car for a few days in the KC area from around December 26- January 1ish. Anyone still here in the KC area? haha

OlatheRX8 01-25-2012 08:39 PM

I wave to others when I can. I cant always wave back. And many times I cant see the driver so I have no clue if they even saw me. I try to be friendly :)

I just flash my lights at them. Safer and easier to catch. Pretty much got all the 8 owners around Manhattan/JC/Fort Riley area to do the same.

Just to go to the airport. I use to autox out there, but decided it is best if i just go to salina, seeing how it is much closer.
