I believe Showoff lives somewhere around Mur-Len as well just a little south of me.

This area is the RX-8 hood I guess. lol

Yep. 151st and Mur-Len. Actually 156th to be exact.
If you hear something that sounds like an angry swarm of bees being broadcast over a megaphone with the sound of a jetliner backing it up and then a fully kitted Ti grey 8 goes by that was me.

Damn u are REALLY close to me then. I take Mur-Len to 155th, then hop in Lindenwood, and wind my way over the 157th TER. I'm sure I must have ran by u a time or two.

That's funny I'm on 156th ter in the Cul-de-Sac. I'm the guy on the block with more tools and car parts in my garage than most dealerships.

There's some guy on the East side of Mur-Len with a Ti Grey MS6 and this guy always tries to race me down Mur-Len in the morning during morning traffic. It's annoying as hell.

I'm at 131st and Nieman in OP. I didn't realize how many 8's there were in the area. I find myself on the lookout for 8's now (being a new owner). Although I find the best place to spot 8's is at the pump...

Tirminyl: Agreed. It definitely has more tone now that it's had a few miles put on it, but it's still dead silent on the highway. It ROCKS!

El Scorcho: That's certainly where you can find me.

Hey man, how much that Borla cost ya and whered ya get it? Any similar exhaust you'd recommend and whered ya get it done? If there is something that sounds as good but different I'll do that, I hate to copy people that do it local, then again I guess we are all guilty of clear markers, haha.

The Borla has gone up in price since he bought it (assuming he bought it and didn't get it off a sponsorship deal). I paid $671 shipped which is the cheapest on the web right now and that's from http://www.performancecenter.com.

Another exhaust to consider is the Mazdaspeed. You can find it a little cheaper I believe and it sounds pretty much the same. Tirminyl on here has that exhaust on his car and it's definitely my #2 as far as favorites go (Borla being #1).

I wrench on my own hot rod so it doesn't cost me money to get it installed.

Tirminyl: The original idea was for sometime in April I do believe, which works for me because I'd rather have my car lowered and sporting the summer wheels/tires before showing it off anyways!

They're 6 different shades of corroded aluminum. No, they suck.

I'll probably paint them over the summer or something.

Kumho ECSTAs and other things

i should also say that when i got my car clamidia put on the kumho ECSTA on my car and those things grip and go (cant slide around at all) on dry roads and in the rain they are fine but in the snow they are POOOOOP. bad as in with even a dusting these things start to slip and slide. not the butt mind you but the front tires loose traction. example: not 2 long ago it started snowing pretty hard and had been doing so for about an hour and i was driving home roads were covered in a thin coat, i slowed down to make a right and turn at antioc and 127th going about 5 miles an hour and the car decided it wanted to keep going straight. The retarded thing was that a lady turned left even though i was turning right (i had the green and the right of way) and almost freeking hit me. on a side note i don't know about you guys but i don't turn left when there are people even near the road i will be turning on.
So would you buy the Kumho's again? I plan to pic ka set up this weekend (my stock DUnlops are done). You just can't beat the price on Tirereack.com, $103 each currently. I drive a jeep when the snow hits, but prefer the Rx and get stuck with a 25 mile bad weather commute back from work from time to time in the Rx. So I would want SOME traction in a light snow...

Also, please post if any of you get together around the KC area. I see some of you about, but never when stopped and would love to chat about the Rx.

I went with Falcon Ziex ze 512 when I had my 8 and even with all the mods they kept the traction on the ground in the snow lol and were only $109 from www.discounttiredirectdirect.com

I'll likely be cruising around Friday night if its as nice as its supposed to be. I'm also tryin to convince myself to buy a new exhaust, but part of me wants to finish paying my college loan, haha.

if you want light snow tires you don't want the kumhos get the 512's that were posted earlier as they have been recommended on several occasions by people on these forums and other friends who have 8's in our kansas climate

Saw a red 8 with clear corners w/ blue bulbs, I think it had exhaust at 151st and Mur-len Tuesday night around 7 or so. Who is this? I see this car all the time now.
