Mine is back on the road as well. Although I have to fix the headlight auto-level sensors because my lights are pointing straight down at the moment. I've been driving a diesel passat during the winter and it's a bit of a shock driving the RX8 again. Never realized how much the passat rolls in the corners and how vague the steering feels. The RX8's power delivery is also so much better. With the turbo diesel you get a surge of power around 2,000 rpm and then that's it. I will miss the 40+ mpg though.
Hope to see some of you guys on the road. I drive from Dearborn to downtown Detroit just about every day.

The Michigan "WANKEL"
I'm not going to that one, but I did sign up for the HPDE one at GingerMan on Sunday, May 24th. I'm not sure I'm going to make it, as my tires are close to the wear bars, and I can't afford new tires before that date. I need to see what the tread depth requirements are for that track day. I may have to skip it this time.

It's that time of the year again. Woodward dream cruise. It is Saturday August 15. we will be out at the lot again all day. come on out and park your car (if you have one) and sit and watch cars. we will have the grill again and will provide hot dogs, brats and burgers so please feel free to bring something or just provide a donation for food and the Porta john. If you have any questions please contact Richard (248)568-1745 or myself Charity (248)568-7755. Also we will be out the sunday before to clean up the lot and to put up fencing, so if anyone can come out to help that sunday let us know, as of right now not sure on what time.
The address to the parking lot is: 99 Murray St Pontiac, MI 48342
Tell us what your bringing so we know what to expect, RX cars and rotary powered cars will get the best parking spots, followed by other cruise cars.
You can personally contact us on our local club forum Woodward Dream Cruise Aug 15th, 2015

Spark Plug Change Help/Guidance
Hi All,
I have a 2004 8 with Manual Transmission that I need to change the plugs on. I've long ago purchased the parts and tools, but I'm a little hesitant to do the job. Anybody in Southeastern Michigan willing to oversee the job? I replaced the coils last year, but I still need to do the plugs.
Thanks.

The Michigan "WANKEL"
Sadly, I just sold mine Saturday, April 28th. My son is learning to drive, and is getting my 2014 Mazda3 for his car. I sold the RX-8 to a friend, Jason Saini, GM of Greenwood Motorsports & Wagons, in Evanston, and he hooked me up with my next daily driver from The Autobarn, a 2018 VW Golf R. I'm loving that car, but I sure miss 9,000 RPM.

Sad, but understandable and a Golf R is a much better DD. I just got back from DGRR but hadn't gone since 2013 - too much time pressure from too many other sources. With a wind-down of my working career, it's time for me to wrap up my to-do list on the 8 which still has only 44k miles. It's becoming a rare car.

the only my MIL's 04 daily driver is in great shape is because it hasnt driven more than 3 miles in a round trip she walks to work in the winter to keep the car safe! what kind of backwards logic... anyway 40k miles and no rust put this one on the road to being a classic some day. dont worry, i give it exercise in the summer
