I'll keep an eye out for the next run; I will likely be travelling quite a bit now for the rest of the summer but I have some flexibility in the bookings if I know a run is coming ahead of time.

I'll setup another run to Hell after I have the run to Cedar Point locked down. Expect last weekend in July or early August. (I'll also target joining in with the Ferrari club in September.)

OK, I had seen you once in the garage this last winter semester. I went out of my way to go check your car. I remember being late to class to do this. LOL.

Classes: If you're on the 6 week course, then your last day is around the time of this event. Good luck on your exams. I hope you can find a way to join in!

A2SC: I frequent their forum (under the same SN) and I've attended a couple times. (So have Kors-Jan and Sleddog_Racer) I've shared our Hell Run pictures with them. They seem to be interested in getting something going.

 

We have 19 cars on the Michigan Owner's List so far. But they are all Southeast Michigan cars. Where at the cars from Lansing, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland, Traverse City, and the U.P.?

If we can get more, maybe we can put together some great Meets in Michigan? I do event planning as part of my job and I'd be willing to pull together a Meet with lots of extras, but we gotta have more participants to make it worthwhile.

There has to be another 19 cars out there across Michigan! Let us know where you are and what you are drivin'.

Regarding more future events ...

I just got the Holly Run Route from the Ferrari Owner's Club. They took this route for thier spring outing. It's a 90 mile round trip and takes about 3 hours with a 30 minute break at the Holly Hotel. (No loops, just a single route.)

They had a good time. I may take the run once in the next couple of weeks. Maybe we'll do this first or third weekend in August. I like to avoid the second weekend (due to the Cedar Point run) and the third weekend (Woodward Dream Cruise.)

Keep an eye out for future events.

 

I'm with you...........90 miles ain't 3 hours, 90 miles is...................er............45 minutes. Including pee stop.

We have 21 cars in the area. What are the chances we can get the majority of these members to come? Seeing 21 RX8s at a gathering would be a wet dream for me.

Well, I'm hoping to join the ranks of the MI RX-8 owners, just as soon as I get my hands on one

Will be starting grad school end-Aug, so I'm hoping for some leads on RX-8s in the area heh.

Any tips for driving/owning an RX-8 in Michigan? I come from a place which is rather... tropical

The only tip I have is to wrap your car all around in bubble wrap because 90% of the vehicles on the road in the Detroit are hulking SUV's & pickups and nobody in this part of the state can drive for ****.

Hi Kors-jan. It has been a bit of time since I have been on here. I just got your PM today. I have been quite busy starting a new business. Yes, it is automotive related. Look for me as a sponsor on here soon.

In the last few weeks, I have gone to NOPI at Milan, where I saw one Velocity Red 8 in the car show & also went to Waterford Hills a couple weeks ago & happened to park next to a Black 8 as well.

I know there is at least 2 other owners in my area, but haven't found them on rx8club yet. One is silver & another velocity red.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi & add me to the list. Let me know if anyone plans on a meet. I would like to jump in.

 

Hey, Fantastic! Someone from Lansing. You are proof that RX8's exist outside of SE Michigan. I was in Battle Creek this past weekend and passed a Blue (or maybe Black since it was nighttime) RX8 at the Baymont Hotel around Exit 97 of I-94. Thanx for responding, Warzol.
