Don't you need a steady relationship first to have a mistress?

True, but the one I want for a mistress I don't want a steady relationship from - we were in negotiations today as we discussed my new watch. I figure I can be unorthodox and get one before the other.

I'm referring to the one that bought me the "seiko".

The other individual gets no explanation or anything relating to where I get my watches from.

I am new to this forum and to the 8 as well. I was thinking about attending the road america event. It sounds like fun. I never have been able to fully experience the drivability of my car. Mainly because my wife has s*%t fit. I was looking on the road america site and it said I need a helmet. My question is do they provide them or do I need to bring my own? If I pay for the one day $200, how much driving time will I get? The site said 350 mi? Any help will be appreciated.

hey devil,

here's what I know, but I'm sure "the boys" will chime in shortly:

Each day you get 3-4 runs in of approximately 20 minutes each. The track is about 4 miles long, so you go around 10-15 times (depending on how badly you want to flog your baby!) each run session.

Instructors are there and are of no charge (but you should find them first thing in the morning and reserve one for your session). Any of the 8 guys who are there will be able to point out who the instructors are, or you may be able to ask the guys who do the tech inspection on your car beforehand.

You have to bring your own helmet; they don't supply them.

And if you want to just hang out and go on some ridealongs with the guys who are already signed up, that's only $5. BlueRen is our resident Road America guru so I bet he'll chime in with times to meet, where to paddock, etc.

I think we have 6 people going that weekend, but I could be wrong.

A good helmet will run you about $200 ish. Should be DOT approved, which most are. Ride alongs, as RSD mentioned are available, and are a ton of fun to whet your appetite. We will prob be there early in the morning, as tech starts at around 7 ish. There will be fun and chair and most likely food.

IMHO the instructors are worth the price of admission just by themselves. They are great guys that have that track wired, and can give you a ton of tips to make it safe and fun.

Peresonally, if it was up to me, you would come.

As I will be there as a spectator, I could bring along one of my extra helmets. They are size XXL. I have a big head.
