PM's replied. Looking at getting into a new or used Mazda3 hatch. Want something I can drive year round, gets good mileage, and can store a bit for biking, snowboarding, grocery getting. Need to start saving for a house so I'm putting autox and brainerd on the back burner for quite a few years. Hopefully I can get back into it again in the future. Maybe by then they'll have engine swaps or reliable engine builds where we can get some good power out of these cars.

Some things I have include BHR iginition, racing beat race pipe/dual res midpipe/dual exhaust, cobb AP, axial flow ss, tokico d-specs, tien s-techs, 17x9 enkei rpf1's with 255/40/17 hankooko rs3's, corbeau forza seats with brackets, jdm clear corners for side turn signal, progress tech swaybars, and I'm sure there's some more laying around. Some parts don't have many miles at all, others have about 5,000 max since I store my car in the winter. I'll post up pictures and prices later this week, but if there's anything that you're interested let me know.

Do you use the enkei rpf1's w/ hankooks rs3's for autox? I'm looking to start autox next year and could always use a started set of wheels. And I'd be interested in the BHR ignition if TonyVS falls through or if you have 2.

Yea, I used them for 2 autox sessions and 1 brainerd track day. They still have over 75% tread left. When it's warm and dry, these tires stick like crazy. I was able to take on and off-ramps over 55mph with the suspension work and these tires.

You're third on the list for the BHR ignition. Money talks, so whoever can pay first gets it.

What price are you looking for on the Tire/Wheels and Ignition?

Pstone 08-17-2011 02:43 PM

PM sent. I'm planning on getting pictures and prices for everything posted up by the end of the week. Busy tonight getting the car appraised at dealers.

Kaiser bun 08-17-2011 02:50 PM

Just out of curiousity what are you asking for the SS?

Pstone 08-17-2011 02:55 PM

It's $270 new, so how about an easy round number at $200 for locals.

Pstone 08-17-2011 10:12 PM

Well, it's official. Next Thursday I pick up my new 2011 Mazda3 hatch. It's crystal white pearl grand touring. It's going to be sad to see the RX8 go, but I think it will be a good change for a while.

I'll have time tomorrow night to get pictures and prices of everything that I have for sale.

ganseg 08-18-2011 06:53 AM

I have an offer for $190 on my Frozen Rotors (front/slotted). If any of you match that, I would prefer to sell them in town (The offer is from near my home town in WI.)

You don't happen to have the rear one's do you? I already have the front frozen.

ganseg 08-18-2011 09:12 AM

Sorry, no. Which rotors do you have? (the power slot or other) How have they worked for you?

droppedrx8 08-18-2011 12:55 PM

I will be switching exhausts in the next week. So i am putting my HKS hi power exhaust up for sale. I figured i would give locals the first crack at it. I am asking $375. Shoot me a pm if intrested. I can take pictures of the exhaust on the car if people would like.

TonyVS12385 08-18-2011 01:46 PM

No go on ignition Pstone... Fiance says no, need "wedding" money... Great choice on Mazda3... Good to see you're doing with the brand

MadeULook 08-18-2011 06:49 PM

Mazdaspeed 3 Hatch?

Pstone 08-18-2011 07:53 PM

Drove a Mazdaspeed and loved it, but gets a bit less gas mileage plus I would just want to mod it again.

Pstone 08-18-2011 09:12 PM

Parts are listed with most pictures. If you want any more information let me know.

I have the power slots. Apparently the latest release of rotors from power slots weren't as good as the one's that I have on now, a model old (from what Eric from FirstGear Garage and Frozen Rotors said).

They work pretty good, never tracked them so don't have any hard use on them except for a couple of emergency stops. So all in all I like them, but don't have any real tests against them to tell how much better than OEM they are.

ganseg 08-19-2011 09:21 AM

I have the old model too - from First Gear. How much did you pay? I think I was at about $245.

Yea $247, 123.50 each back in May (had the email with the quote). I'm hoping to do the backs sometime in the fall. Not sure if they have any of the old model backs left, but I'd like to get those.

TonyVS12385 08-24-2011 10:27 AM

I just joined http://www.mnmazda.com by invite, I thought you guys would maybe like to join, if not already, especially when a few of us are getting different Mazdas.

Made a post, it looks like they frequently meet on Wednesday in Brooklyn Park. I have made them aware of us, so we'll see if we can get more meets going!

Pstone 08-25-2011 09:36 AM

Picked up the mazda3 today. It may not be as quick or look as good, but damn it's comfy and handles really well. It'll be nice having the better mileage and extra storage capacity.

mndsm 08-25-2011 12:10 PM

I had heard that you guys were out there, so I figured i'd take a minute to introduce myself. I am well.... mndsm. I am also the owner of MNMazda.com. (I hope no one gets all sour that i'm advertising myself like this). Currently own among other things, a 2007 mazdaspeed3 and a 1988 mazda mx6 GT (the 2.2 turbo) the mx6 is going to end up being a track car, and the ms3 is the DD/project/go fast/haul babies car.

Anyhow, figured I would drop you all a line and let you know we DO meet at Wagners every Wednesday, weather permitting. We usually have a fairly decent showing, but we'd love to see more members, and we'd REALLY love to see some rx8 guys. We also have various other whatever we're bored enough to do meets (some RC, some install, tint days, we're just getting ready for the fall Leinies cruise, etc etc). In any event, i'd love to have you guys aboard. We're severely lacking in content from the rotary crowd, and it'd be great to get some of you to swing by. Hope to see ya!

Welcome. I've always had a soft spot for the mx6, I've looked at picking one up every now and then but haven't seen one that's still in decent shape..

Thanks. I got the car for 400$, so it's obviously not perfect, but other than some rust in the rear quarters, and the typical dead paint/dents from the fact that the car was produced during the Reagan administration, it runs pretty well. Still pulls as hard as I can expect an archaic turbo to pull, doesn't seem to have any leaks, etc etc. Some small electrical issues, but again, it's 23 years old and has 209k on it. I'm not mad at all.

Pstone 08-29-2011 04:55 PM

My racing beat dual exhaust is for sale now. If anybody local is interested in picking it up I'll cut you a deal.
