Well...I've never set up a meet before but I guess this is on me...

For all who are going to the Autoshow on Sunday 3/11
Go join the MN RX-8 club on FB, it is easier to post and follow there:
http://www.facebook.com/groups/378208118864707/

The event page:
http://www.facebook.com/events/333121443400836/

For meeting place before we go there, I'm up for suggestion. Frankly, the place is downtown Minneapolis, would be a pain to come there at the same time. So I was thinking why don't we just meet there at the parking lot? After we are done with the show, we can go somewhere else for lunch/coffee etc.

just sent a request to join, and as for the show that does sound like an easier idea, we at least gotta figure out which parkin lot to meet at so we can park/leave together? i'm not too familiar with the area tho but i'll recognize it when i get down there lol

Ok, I took a look today. I'm thinking the outside parking lot next to the church, on 4th street; it's nice outside so I don't see any reason to park indoor. Beside a bit longer walk to the center.

Here are the map and the spots we will be parking at

Give me a txt if you can't find me, I should be there by 10:30AM

Hey guys, continue from my eight's misfiring issue. I changed the ignition coils (only the coils), and the car was fine for a week; yesterday, the CEL went up again, not flashing this time though.

So I went and changed the spark plugs today, and the car start up fine; but the CEL is still on, and I can hear the misfires if I rev up the engine.
My new wireset will come within a few days, and I will change that; but that couldn't be the problem, right?

According to the stealership, it has code p0300, p0301; 250+ misfires in rotor #1 in last drive circle. Everything else is fine (Cat inversion, compression, etc).

So, if after changing coils, plugs, wireset; and I still have misfires, what are the possible problems I am looking at?

Kailas - I would get those CEL read again (at Autozone or something) just to be sure it's the same codes.

+1

one other thing to consider... did you clear the light, and it returned? or is it still on from before?

If you don't "clear" the code, it may take a while before the ECU determines it's ok to turn the light off.

Reset ECU, CEL is off; drove her for 30mins, seems fine now. Now, we will see if that light went back on.
Thanks, guys.

So, I asked the guy at PolakGraphic, and he said he will give me a discount if I buy a batch of RX8Club decals for all of you guys. Anyone interested?

If I get enough people to buy; I can order it, then you guys can come over and get it from me; or I can hand them out next meet.

The original price is $3-5 a piece, depends on color.

Oh, and if you are on this forum and not on the facebook group yet; go join it, so I don't have to double post. haha.

Polak makes some quality decals...

I've got them in titanium grey (which is the coolest color of course )

So we got 2 pairs so far. Btw, the gray, red, and white ones have different ones for left and right side.
For the rest, the rotor is on the left side.
It would probably be easier for them to give me a discount if we order the same color. I was thinking gray, with left and right sides.

Yea, ti-grays for sure. Put me down for 2. How about brake decals too (red/black/white)? http://www.polakgraphics.com/index.p...&product_id=86 I was going to paint my calipers soon, probably gray, so any color would look good. I was leaning toward red, but white/black would be good too.

If not red, I think white would be better for me. Not real crazy about the grey or silver on my red car. White would be OK though.

Anyone know a good wheel and/or chrome shop in the area? I've got a 2nd hand set of chrome wheels coming in on Tuesday and I'm thinking about getting them cleaned up/rechromed before I put the summer tires on them.
