Hello everyone,
After discussing with several Minnesota members on the board how much fun the last group drive was we have aranged another one!
Sorry for the late notice but early August was not a good date for atleast 4 people...(we can have another in August as well and a caravan is in the works for Midwest Rotary Rally).
So, the date is set for Sunday July 31st, at 1:00pm
Out of simplicity we will meet again at Ridgedale Shopping Center, and depart on a drive between 1:15 and 1:30.
Again, Ridgedale Shopping Center is located at Plymouth Road and 394...meet in the northwest corner of the parking lot, near the gas station (located by the Bacio's/Champs). For further directions please visit: http://www.ridgedalecenter.com/Info/GettingHere/
If you have a nice route you recommend email me or call and we can work it out...Frank's path last time was great...we could use his help again.
Looking forward to seeing all of you and again feel free to email me or call (if for instance you are get lost) (PM me for copy of entire email with my personal info intact...and PM me your email so I can add you to the MN list).
Regards,
Jason
PS. Fray and Speedrx8er are kindly donating server space so a website is in the works for MN RX-8s...with pictures and info...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes Any suggestions for our website will be great. I was tempted to do it in all Flash.
But the load time may take awhile to load for those that are not on high speed connection.
To bad papajoey can't make it . hehe could really use his e-tool to load the new maps/ hehehe

truemagellen, I'd love to get a print out of my car's current ECU information.. (Basically just the VIN, flash info stuff.)
Anyway, I hope to be there.. it's about a 90% chance right now..

the recalls are the the first and second (the other two are old...were probably already addressed in your car)
The suspension they'll fix without being charge...as for engine and engine cool they probably won't charge either because it is a simple ECU reflash to add more fuel to the cat to cool it down and stops you from repetative high revving while stationary. The final piece to this one which may not apply to you based on vin number is a heat shield above exhaust components to protect the undercarriage...specifically the gas tanks
really it isn't an issue to us since our temp never really goes abouve 100 and we aren't stupid enough to rev the engine in neutral for several minutes or more. The problem was since there was no movement there was no airflow under the car to cool it...I'll tell you the whole story if you want on Sunday...just there is info I shouldn't be posting on here

Well after seeing how hot my air temperature was. Granted I drove for about 45 mins and it was 90+ degree outside. I decided to pull the bumper off again and move my air fliter out of the engine area. After pulling th bumper and some platic covers. It looks like there is enough room to do some kind of ram air . The downside is that my filter will get dirty real fast .. I also plan on lowering my innercooler by 2 inches.
I don't know how long the pipe can be. I fear if its to long it may cause some air turbulant. What do you guys think?? DO I need to move the sensor to?? hmm
