Oils, winter, and additives....

So, there obviously a lot of discussion on oils to use and whether to use any additives in the gas (2 cycle oils, cleaner etc) but much of the discussion is coming out of Florida and California - given our climate is a bit different here in upper midwest I have questions for the owners here:

1) what oils do you run in summer/winter - how long have you been doing that, any positive negative results etc.?

2) Do you run any fuel additives?

I am looking mostly for responses from people who drive their 8's during the winter - I am in Chicago and drive through the season so I am curious to get a response from someone who does the same - driving in both significantly hot summer months and significantly cold winter months

My second winter with the 8, and I am happy to report I have never deviated off the 5W20 non-synthetic nor have I used any fuel additives. The car will perform great in both extremes. Just let it warm up a little in the winter and don't go crazy on the RPM's until it's warmed up. *very important*

0w30 in winter, 0w40 in summer, for the last five years

Absolutely no results to base it on, I just do what I feel is right.

Living in a deep freeze, I use an eight-ounce shot of anhydrous isopropanol in my gas, in case I get a dose of water from the gaspump.
