Although I have my Titanium one for a year this is the first time posting here. Are there any events in which we all meet together in Stl area?

It look like it has been a while since someone from St Louis spoke up. I live in Florissant and drive a lightening yellow GT 6 spd with no visible mods...yet

Nice to meet you. I have been seeing more and more eights on the road. The Bommarito Mazda in St. Peters had a white one someone was test driving and most likely bought up because I didnt even see it parked on there lot out front.

Nice to meet you too, Katie. Yeah, I bought mine at Bommarito. There was one there that I think belonged to one of the employees. It was white and had dark chrome wheels. It was sweet. I'm not sure if that was the one you are referring to. It is always parked on the side of the showroom, and always backed in.

Good to see another 8 driver. Welcome to the club, even if getting us started on anything requires a lot of kicks. -_-;;

Congrats to the new members/owners! I saw the white one at Bomm with the dark chrome and it was sweet. I really need to get mine chromed! I saw a blue 8 70 EB by the airport tonight about 5:45 pm. Anybody from the forum?

I don't think that I have seen a blue one on the road yet. I mostly see red and gray. I like the gray. My wife also just told me today that someone in her dept bought a green AT. I took a look at it out the window. It was the 1st geen one that I have seen on the road. Pretty sweet. Dirty wheels thought...yuck! My commute takes me from New Halls Ferry to Dorsett and back each day. I don't see many 8s at all. Maybe 2-3 a week.

Hey, someone mentioned a gathering. Any word on the next one? I would imagine not until spring. Also, I don't know if someone mentioned this or not but is anyone interested in a track day at Gateway when it opens for the season. Nothing fancy, just a group of 8 owners meeting up on a test and tune day...anyone.

I've got one for you... (see signature). Every year we get a great caravan of rotary vehicles out from KC/STL.

Well, I ran across a blue 8 on Manchester heading west at about 5:10 last night. More or less side-by-side in traffic for ten minutes or so. Probably nobody here, but I figured I'd mention it.

Yeah, spring is the logical time for the next meeting. Winter is for planning and making modifications. hehe

Well, yeah, of course rotary revolution but I had in mind something a little smaller and a lot closer. Not erveryone will be able to go to the revolution (I don't mean me, I'm going!) and it's an annual event. I was hoping that some of us can get together locally and talk cars. Maybe a gateway or maybe even at a park or someone's house. Nothing formal or anything. Just some people getting together and talkin cars.

carguy425, I work in Florissant, but I guess you don't see my 8 because I'm on
Lindbergh. I imagine you go south on New Halls Ferry to 270.

Hell, yeah, I'm up for a Gateway get together.

I'll try to find out when Gateway opens for the season and when they will be having test and tune sessions. When we get that info, we can talk about some real dates. By the way, my name is Dave. And what color is your 8, howls?

Hey kids,

My names Phil. Just registered here for the club. Just picked up my 04 RX-8 MT November 29th. I thought I loved to look at them, that was nothing compared to how much I love to drive mine. Had an 03 Eclipse GT with tons of mods on it that I traded in. Thought I would miss that one. Now I'm like, "Eclipse who?". I look forward to possibly seeing if there are any get together dates. Hopefully get some mod ideas from everyone else, if willing. Right now just trying to figure out how to install my sound system from the Eclipse into the RX-8. If anyone has suggestions, shoot me a line please. Thanks, and can't wait to get to know all of you fellow RX8ers.

Hi, Dave, I'm Ryan. I work at the Dobbs on Lindbergh close to New Halls Ferry. I'm always parked around back, so you'd have to know where to look to see my car. It's black.

You ever get into St Louis for anything, snowboarder? And Ryan, I'm sure I'll see you 'round. I've got to bring my truck into Dobbs for some A/C work. The guy I bought it from had dye put in, at Dobbs, to see where it's leaking . Yours is the closest to my house, I think.

Hey snowboarder,

I'm not too far from you. Live down in Shiloh maybe 15 minutes away. Use to play hockey all the time up at Glidden Park in Collinsville. Hopefully I'll see you around sometime. My RX8 is yellow ext, black int. Getting some custom sound system work done to it this coming weekend. Subs, amp, tv/dvd player and screen along with a few other things. Hopefully turns out as well as I'm imaging in it. Wouldn't mind some opinions from other members of the forum once it's done.

The Rotary Revolution event has been working with Ryan Scott (Boosted 7) to try and figure out who is actually in the Mid-America Rotary Club for St Louis so we can extend our club discounts to all of you.

At this time the only way to do that would be to try and locate each person on the RX7/RX8club.com websites that lived in and around St Louis (not very practical).

If you would like to be included in the list of club members that Ryan sends us for a discount please send Ryan ( Ryan@rxtuner.com ) an email with the following information so we can get it posted on the club registration portion of our event website:

1. Subject: Mid-America Rotary Club Membership
2. Your First and Last Name (VERY IMPORTANT)
3. Your email address to receive club/event information
4. Your location (city/state)

In a few days he will send us the info he has gathered so we may add it to the club information page and you can save $10 off the normal registration fee!

Hi Katie,
That would be me. I was wondering who that was stuck in that traffic on Willot. :D I wanted to wave, but it would be useless considering you couldn't see me anyway.
