ALL NEW FOR 2005 FRIDAY NIGHT MIDNIGHT MADNESS VS THE ROTARY REVOLUTION
The event is expected to kick-off with a Friday night challenge VS the local Indianapolis piston-pounders in an all-out drag racing battle under the lights at IRP. After checking in to their hotels attendees will be whisked away to the track to warm and tune their cars to prepare for their night-time showdown. This is the ONLY part of the event that NON-ROTARY POWERED VEHICLES will be allowed to participate during the Rotary Revolution weekend. If you are attending the Rotary Revolution, but are forced to bring a piston-powered car you will be allowed to join in on the MIDNIGHT MADNESS team. The track will be separated into two lanes. One with ROTARY ONLY vehicles and the other will feature cars with piston powered motors. Rules for drag racing will follow NHRA standards and we will offer a more complete list of rules regarding vehicle setup as the event nears. Expect the event to enforce rules regarding street-ability of cars, etc…
Now that we have that out of the way; let us explain our stance on piston-powered vehicles attending the Rotary Revolution. The Rotary Revolution is a weekend celebration of the ROTARY ENGINE. While most of the vehicles attending the event will be Mazda powered RX-Series vehicles this event is not limited to those cars. As attendees have seen in the past we encourage people to bring new and unique vehicles that are rotary-powered from lawn mowers to Formula 1 style race cars. If you wish to attend and are driving a non-rotary vehicle you will still be allowed to enjoy the Rotary Revolution. We will setup a non-rotary parking corral. In this area you will be allowed to enter and park your vehicle so you may enjoy the festivities and celebration of the rotary engine. There will be many parts of the event you may enjoy such as the Friday night racing, guest speakers, viewing the rotary vehicles on display, vendor booths, sponsor booths, being a spectator during the drag racing/autocross/road course portions of the event, and most importantly the camaraderie of other high-performance vehicle lovers. You will not be allowed to drive your vehicle on any portions of the track outside of the Friday night drag racing.
ALL NEW REGISTRATION FOR 2005!
Our registration system is being completely overhauled. This year will have a mandatory shutdown date for pre-registering for the event. Pre-registrants will not only receive a heavily discounted rate, but also packets in the mail containing schedules, maps, identification, and possibly a surprise Rotary Revolution gift. Pre-registrants will also receive express entrance once you arrive at the track for each of the three days primary event. If you are unable to pre-register you may still attend by paying upon arrival. A registration/information desk will be set up at the primary hotel for your convenience. Those arriving directly at the track for any of the primary events will be put into a holding corral in order of arrival so we may process your registration and get you quickly ready for the rest of the event.
ALL NEW AUTOCROSS FOR 2005!
We are currently planning to run a second autocross track during the main event. This will help alleviate the lines we experienced during Rotary Revolution 2004. Should the weather not cooperate for drag racing both autocross tracks will be open. We have not decided on the exact style for the two tracks at this time, please voice your suggestions in a single thread on one of the follow forums (listed alphabetically):

ALL NEW WEEKEND IN 2005!

All new information regarding the event will be posted in the Rotary Revolution event area on our new web address: http://www.lat-g.com
NEW WEATHER SPECIFIC ITINERARY FOR 2005!
The Rotary Revolution event staff is taking into consideration the fact that Mother Nature is not always the kindest person on the planet. For this reason we are making it a priority to negotiate with the track the ability to switch days between the road course and drag/autocross to make sure that the main rotary drag event will happen on the day with the most promising weather. We are also looking into alternate scheduling so that rotary enthusiasts will not experience any down-time should the weather not cooperate.
Part of the Lateral G Community; the Rotary Revolution is the premier rotary powered driving event in America. No other motor sports event offers its attendees as complete an experience. Learn more about your
vehicle and its capabilities. Rotary motors deliver more power per liter than any other engine including Ferrari, Viper, and Corvette!! Ever wonder how your car works, how to maintain it, or why its rotary motor is so unique? This event delivers. Test your capabilities or your car’s. Our test tracks are open for you to see first hand why rotary powered cars are the best.
Most car shows limit you to either watching others drive or to standing behind a velvet rope. The Rotary Revolution offers both of these AND it puts you in the driver’s seat. Drag racing, auto cross, and a
road course with instructors are all available at one location at one time. The Rotary Revolution is dedicated to improving your driving experience.
Not interested in being in the driver’s seat on one of Americas most famous race tracks? Come and meet people with similar interest. Come watch new friends test the cars they just drove off of the showroom floor. These aren’t factory sponsored race teams…these are folks just like you driving a car just like yours. Come watch the formula Mazda Racing Circuit (pending) as they fire up their rotary powered open wheel race cars for an exhibition race. You won’t see a kiddy hot rodder fiberglass fest with giant wings and loud stereos or a free for all party. The women attending the Rotary Revolution are drivers….and they have posted some of the best autocross times. Revolution participants love their cars and want to learn more about what they can do. First class all the way.
Come join fellow rotary owners for a day of fun and friendship.
If you are not sure you are on our mailing list, please send a brief email to michrx7@rx7revolution.com that includes the email address you would like us to use when sending updates.
