nah compression problems.. my car broke down on my way home from vegas lol im in utah.. great place hahahahahaha. but my plan was to do the 3 rotor engine swap but i have problems with rotary may be doing the LS engine swap. then obviously swapping the tranny since its automatic but they only make the 3 rotor for automatic as of now so that why i got a auto.. but after this break down and 200 miles of towing my car funds are quite low. so ill be doing my more basic mods for now. as i have done mostly cosmetic **** lol.

well the 20b conversion will cost at a minimum 15k if you do it your self and do it right to have a shope I usually see numbers up above 30k an LS1 couldn't tell you but if I were you I would rebuild ur renesis and FI it'll be cheaper and your car will be up and running significantly quicker but if you got the means and ability to go 20b do it, because they are BADASS

A 20B swap is for advanced users only, and I mean REALLY advanced. I don't just mean installing and tuning it, I mean driving it too. Forgive me for saying so, but I doubt you could handle the realities of a FI 20B ... very few people can.

Get your new motor first and go from there, call my boy Kyle at 417-951-9661 and tell him Ryan sent you. He's the Rotor Doctor down in SW MO, and the guy is a walking rotary encyclopedia. I'd do a mild port job on it and maybe a couple other tricks. Then worry about FI after you're up and running again, I should be able to help you out there too.

hmmmm....i just got a new engine, about how much $ are we talking about to port? I hadnt really thought about that in a while, but am getting the mod bug so i may have to call this guy up if i can srape up the money. My little 4 port needs all the help it can get!! lol as for the 20b yea i wouldnt know what to do with that much power, but it sure would be sweet to drive once...on a street with no cars, curbs, trees, light poles, or any bodies of water so that i cant possibly kill myself.

What about NA 20B?

To me, "20B swap" implies putting a 20B in said vehicle, and does not inherently mean that it will have forced induction...

The swap itself is still a rather complex thing and I think alot of people say I want a 20b without even considering the amount of time money and work it takes (not implying u fall into that category bignatex) and it should'nt be something taken lightly

100% agree. I was just getting alot of the same hassle with my plans for a rotary Miata, people couldn't get it through their heads that I wanted an NA, not turbo, and Renesis, not prior 13Bs.

Nothing wrong with staying NA with an engine swap....it doesn't HAVE to be turbo'ed.

Completley agreed Turbos cost more money up front and in the long run not to mention they bring tons of new variable into the equation, however, thats not going to stop me from hopefully supercharging next year (well thats the plan anyways) lets see what happense after I graduate school and start making money. I'd probably be better off saving but I think I deserve to reward myself for all the hard work haha

I don't know if porting a 4-port is worth it ... I'll ask around. The cost to port is cheap, so long as the motor is out. In your case most of the expense would be pulling the motor out and taking it apart.

Why would you spend $20K to drop in a 20B, but not another $3K to double your horsepower?
