I could always bring my mom out for ya. She is only 48 going on 30 if you know what I mean, lol. Am I bad or what? Unfortunately I was the kid who had to go around being told, "Dude, your mom is a total MILF!"

Well, first of all... what general area are we looking to meet up? I'll be in South County most of the day and will be available sometime that evening (not sure exactly when the swim meet will be over). But I know Chico is in North County and BBG is east-side. West Port Hooters or Ozzie's sound good? Otherwise there's always Laclede's Landing... Morgan Street Brewery. Then there's the yummy brewery on St. Charles' landing called "Trailhead".

Anyone with other ideas?

OK, boys and girls... most of you have my number, so coordinate today and give me a call. I'm going to be unavailable most of the day but will have my cell phone.

I owe Mike a call back, as he called last night announcing his confirmation of coming in town, so I'll probably start the phone chain sometime today.

Anyone else who doesn't have my number and wants to show up (wherever that may be), just post here and the guys will certainly point you in the right direction.

C-ya'll later.

Alright kiddies...we've decided on Hooter's in Westport Plaza off of 270. If you don't know the way, get the address from hooters.com and mapquest. I know you all are smart enough to figure that out. We should all be getting there between 7 and 7:30 until ?

The more the merrier, so get your butt off the couch and come and hang out! Our lawyer to be friend is back in town, who knows when we might need him. Be there or be square!

Well, Terrets, Waterlogged, and myself all hung around Hooters until about 10pm. Everyone else, you missed out. It was good to catch up with you Lawyer Boy. Have a safe trip back to school. Tell Derby Dame we said "Hi". Hope to do it again soon, and we're holding you to that deer jerky, so keep your eye on the prize!

It was good seeing the "il"s: Bill and Phil. Homefully I can bring down a deer for you guys and make some kickass jerky.

Got home alive. After much road rage and being "that guy" I made it back to dayton (370 miles) in 4 hours and 40 min. Close to the record but not quite 4.5 hours.

Cool thing: at one point I got 23-25 mpg at 90-95 mph when i was drafting off of a mercades SUV.

Nice mileage, I have a good engine and don't even get that good. Glad to hear you got back in one piece. Crossing my fingers on that jerky.

Sounds like you guys had a blast. Sorry guys I got caught up. My birthday was Friday and Teresa made plans for Saturday. When we left the house I left my cell. I would have at least stopped by but did not know where you guys were meeting. Did not check the site or get messages until Sunday.
Glad you got home Terets........Now pass a class or something. I guess we will see you for Winter break.

Terrets, are you sure you weren't actually hooked to that Benz's trailer hitch? That's impressive mileage for 65 MPH let alone 90+

I think I might actually have a "good engine" when it comes to mileage, but I just drive so fast all the time that it kills the mileage. With that Mercades I was only about 2 car lengths behind him and he was pushing all the air out of the way so that helped A LOT.

it's only tailgating if the other person is annoyed. This guy was cool with it. I would call this drafting or riding his slipstream. I was banking on the 8's stopping power and my cat-like reflexes.

^^^ That was a nascar reference btw, and I don't even like nascar.

Anyway-- Bill, did you ride in the guy's car with the tein basics installed? If so tell me about the ride. Also, tell me a bit about your new setup since you've had it for a while now. I'll be coming up on suspension changes soon I think so I'm doin homework.

Terrets, you seem like a great guy, but I would find that annoying!!

Now you know you'd do it too if you still had your 8. Something in that car's blood causes one to do such a thing.

I do this often, I consider myself road psychologist (after all I did minor in psychology ). I watch people's reactions and decide if they are annoyed that I am so close. Usually people who are annoyed will get over, tap brakes, look repeatedly in their mirrors etc. Usually people who are doing 95 mph aren't the most conservative drivers... And this guy and I exchanged waves at the end.

I bond with my fellow speeders.

OK, I'll fess up. My irritating habit in the 8 - spurred on by the car's amazing handling, and which I'm sure I ticked off plenty of people, was to weave in and out of traffic with surgical precision. I generally don't tailgate. Not that its any greater of an irritant than weaving.

What would Frued say about all this closeness to another's tail?

You left that one wide open, I couldn't resist
