Also keep the weekend of July 2,3,4 in mind as there will be an Evo Driving school on the 2nd, and a 2 day Divisional Autox with cars from several states. We usually attract some of the top drivers around the Midwest.

See you Sunday.

You'll see my car right at the gate where you have to sign the waivers as I am the waiver chief for the Autox events. Then will be pitting in the two driver area for first heat. If you aren't already an SCCA member then ask me for a membership form and I will give you a referral which gives a $15 discount, add that with two weekend membership discounts and if you are under 25 you can basically get your annual First Gear Membership free. That way you don't have to pay the weekend membership fee anymore.

Just looked and saw three RX8's and 4 drivers so far out of a total of 7 cars in STX for Sunday. Come on everybody, let's see if we can't dominate STX this event and the rest of the year here in St. Louis for STX. Need a few more of you RX8 folks to join the fun. If nothing else come out and cheer us on. We also allow riders if you want to get the feel of autox before you actually drive in one.

You can do that? That is sweet! Should I register online then, or just register when I get there?

Registering online usually means you're not standing in line so much when you get there. I forget what form of proof you have to bring if you purchased a weekend membership (if any) other than your driver's license; maybe bschnard might know. (I guess you could get the referral and pay for membership on site?)

I notice you registered; you need to change your class because the RX-8 was moved out of B stock and into C stock. Also, if you're not running racing compound tires, I recommend selecting the "street tire open" option for PAX.

My 8 has Y rated tires on it, but not sure if I want to put much on the car right now till I can check my CEL. It turn on yesterday when I left work. I get it maybe once or twice a month and it can sometime go a way as soon as it happens, I think my wiring is buggy or some ****.

I would like to see what this car can do.

Registration just closed 40 minutes ago; you'd normally be able to do so otherwise. You may be able to try and "ask the registrar a question" from the website, asking them to change it.

Or, when confirming your registration at the booth Sunday morning, tell them you made a mistake on your classing; they should be able to change it in the system for you there.

Do we have to have a membership to spectate?

You can register either way. You only need to know the the two temporary weekend membership numbers and their dates to put on the membership form. That along with my referral on the form gets you the $45 discount. Of course membership also gets you a subscription to Sports Car Magazine which usually has good articles about how to improve your autox driving, or maybe about how to set up your suspension, or one of the other numerous activities that SCCA sanctions, even some Pro Racing columns.

I'll be looking out for all the RX8's and stopping by to chat if I don't see you when you come through the gate.

Also, if this will be your first time out be sure to get hooked up with our Novice Chief so they can introduce you to the rules of the game, take you on a course walk to give you hints on how to drive the course, etc. The Novice Chief's team have all been to our national Championships at least once, so they are some of our best drivers in the region.

See Ya Tomorrow,
Bill

Have you had the codes pulled on the CEL. I just fixed one on my wifes car by simply getting a new gas cap. Autozone will pull the codes for free.

Hope to see you out at Family tomorrow.

I don't think so, I think the weekend memberships have to be for the same person. We can check with some of the folks more in the know Sunday. Ask for April the Registrar, she might know. If not find me and I will get with some of the folks who have more experience in this area.

Oh one very important item, if any of you that are coming out to drive or even just watch are under 18 you will need to have a parent with you to sign our minor waiver or you can download one from the stlsolo.org pages and print it in color in duplicate. Have your parents sign it and find someone to notarize it to make it legal. To come watch requires one parent signature, to ride or drive requires both signatures.

Had to cover that because I really hate to have to turn anyone away, but legally can't allow anyone under 18 on the lot without a witnessed parent signature while our event is in progress.
