Hey Mike, I need your help. When you submitted your datalogs for MazdaManiac, how long did it take before he sent the updated map in return? Also when you did the first submission, did you only need to submit the "idle" and "cruise" datalog or did you also need the one when you rev the car to redline as well? Lastly, do you think he will be able to mask my CEL on the first submission? because I need that to be masked before the end of this month so I can pass state inspection.


BTW my ex-gf(*cough* she's crazy *cough*) will be going to this troll squad cruise on Saturday. I still want to go because there hasn't been any meets in a while. Just thought I would give you guys a heads up in case some new douche she is dating tries to be all like "race me bro"! to any of us.

 

Im sure it will be no problem. I am pretty ready for saturday though. Should be nice to get out and cruise. Apparently they are wanting to do groups of 20 or so. That should help some although groups of 10 would be best.

Even though ive been trying so save up a lot lately I think I will either be getting a BHR midpipe withing a month I hope. I am kinda anxious to see what the deal is with the BHR long tube header and see if that would be worth waiting for. I would think it would have to be some power increase or else I dont see the reason to make it.

 

It might be a little louder too Adam. Who knows. I just dont know if I can make myself drop 400 dollars on just a midpipe when I can get a full system for 500.

Did my rims back to black today. I will wait til the morning to judge, but I think they look pretty good.

 

I am torn between buying MB Weapons when we do the medical study, or buying the full Megan Racing exhaust set up. And for anyone who's looking for exhaust *cough*cole*cough* I would sell mine for super cheap.

Adam I am sure the BHR midpipe with your current exhaust would be VERY loud but probably sound really good. By the way, BHR is making a longtube header setup for the 8?

So I just ordered the MM custom calibration service. Feeling pretty queasy over the thought of spending 300$ on the car for something that doesn't physically exist. Hopefully it all works out but so far I don't even know how to get the base MM maps. Maybe he emails them?

 

Do you know if you will need to make any exhaust modifications with the longtube header? I thought I read somewhere that you need to, it may be more work than it's worth. And AJ it's just a feeler thing right now, I will for be either buying wheels or exhaust, just cannot decide on which.

 

I dont think the BHR would be crazy loud, from what ive heard it is a fairly quiet midpipe but still im sure the amount of noise will go up a bit. Also yes they have been working on a long tube header for a while now and it wont work with most midpipes it will come with a custom unit from BHR.

Just got my first update for my MM tune! The base calibration made car drive like it was on crack lol, seemed to run rich from 2k-3.5k rpm, then lean, then rich again at 4k.

It feels smoother now though, and it masked my CEL so I should hopefully pass a state inspection. If not then its going to suck having to put the cat on and having to drive it, then reinstall the midpipe.

And yes I see you guys sat. Adam can you post directions for that Sonic?

 

If cole doesn't buy that exhaust...I'll be interested . Cole you have any pics of your painted wheels? I saw a set of those flat black the other day and I thought they looked great.

 

AJ to get there just take highway 64/40 went towards chesterfield and get off at the boones crossing exit. Take a left and keep going straight you will see the Sonic on your right.

I am leaning towards the accessport just cause I think it will be more noticeable. And the exhuast can be gone but you do know its a little messed up right? It sounds perfect and looks perfect from the outside but unerneath you have to rig it up just a little bit. If I sold it id want to get $400 since that is exactly what I have in it.

 

I might buy your exhaust if cole buys mine Adam. because I don't want to have to take dirty exhaust home in my car.
