I don't really have access to a lift. I have a couple car ramps in my garage and a couple jacks and jackstands though. lol A lift would make it way easier. Adam said he might be able to do it at his house tomorrow if his car gets towed early enough.

I have plenty of tools. I was an import specialist mechanic for about 4 years. Feel free to come by if you want some help. I take bribes that may or may not be lunchy in nature.

I have to go into work for a couple hours starting at 10. And that's quite a drive for me. But I will see what time I get off. You might be done by the time I get there. haha

Just a catback on an 8. Have to do a rear O2 sensor on mine and pulling the cat to get a look at its condition. Looks easy enough. Like any exhaust, throw it up on some jack stands as high as possible so I can get meeself under the car, liberally spray some lubricant on everything, and pray the bolts come loose. Otherwise I have done plenty of exhausts on other stuff. Including welding up a few custom jobs. Sadly, I have no welding stuff of my own.

Hm, alright. I think I am going to pass on doing the midpipe today. By the time I drive out to Fenton it would take 2 hours for my exhaust to be cool enough to work on in this heat. And I don't like the idea of being under a car in 105 degree heat. I will wait til next week when it is down in the 80's.

My hands finally just healed from some second/third degree burns from work. I have no desire to repeat that or inflict it on anyone else. I will just install my ipod adapter today and do the midpipe next week sometime.

Uh oh. Lowe's had three cans of Plasti-Dip on the shelf as I walked by. I HAD to buy them. Let's see what happens.
Also, I took pics of my burnt up plugs and seemingly everything else as I went a little crazy with the picturifying. One had a rusted terminal on top. Isn't that fun.
Someone also saw fit to remove the annoying plastic cover to get to the plugs. Glad someone is looking out for me and trying to save me some work.

I need someone with a little more expertise in suspension to look at my car. I am not sure what the catching feeling is in my steering wheel. I had the car up today and checked every bolt I could find and checked to make sure it was tight.

Did you put the front end on some jack stands or something so the suspension was compressed while you checked? Sometimes a lot of that can change with everything extended and things can feel tight. If you can have it so that you can also turn the wheels and look at things then that would potentially be even better. I really wish I still had access to a lift. Life would be much easier.

Just did the latest datalogs so I should hopefully have a new map by tomorrow. I'll be at the lake this week but I would like to do a meet or something Sunday maybe. How's the car Adam, still having issues? Did you install that midpipe yet Cole?

When I have the front wheels off the ground with no compression on them they turn smoothly.
Not yet AJ. I need to pick up some new bolts for it before I put it on!

That means it could be one of the bushings binding up when it has a load on it. Likely just a tie rod end or ball joint. It would be great if you could turn it slowly with someone else checking for the vibration. Compress the suspension with one wheel off and one guy checking things while another slowly rocks the wheel on the opposite end from side to side. You can actually feel a vibration in your hand around the afflicted part. That's where a lift is handy.
Also, have you tried disconnecting the steering assist through a fuse or the green plug under the intake box? It would be nice to rule out the electronic assist on the rack. It isn't too hard to drive without it, unless you like parallel parking.

So I finally had time to pull the head unit out yesterday It was the connectors that weren't lined up properly so the A/C and the radio work but the cd player is still on stuck mode no luck what so ever even unplugged the battery one more time for 10 minute to see if it would automatically eject the CDs Didn't work.
AJ the meet on Sunday would be nice that's usually the day I am actually off.
Cole my car does the exact same thing when I turn left I think its the electric power steering I am still reading thru various threads to find out witch one fits my car the best to try one of those solutions but Let me know if you find something first.
