There is nothing like getting a UPS package with car parts in it. Unless you open it and the original box inside of the shipping box is destroyed. And your shiny new oil catch can is all smudged up. And it is in a Ziploc baggy amongst the box ruins. And the moment you open it the house fills with the smell of burnt oil fumes. Congratulations, sir. You have been sent a return that was apparently used.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around lately; I've been busy to say the least. Right now though, I have a bit of an emergency; AC at home has gone out. I am shamelessly copy-pasting what I have been posting in other local forums. Any help is greatly appreciated!
AC has been out since Tuesday and I was dumb enough to think I could fix it myself (melted fan motor wire -- already got a new motor and capacitors) only to find out the fan blade assembly is practically fused to the motor of this ~30 year old AC unit. Checking with shops locally, they say technicians would have to come out tomorrow, and will likely have to source a new fan blade assembly. At this point I'm on a mad quest trying to find one first thing in the morning locally, if that's all a tech can do.
I'm needing a 20" 1/8 HP condenser fan for an old Rheem unit. I've searched online at grainger and johnstone supply, and they seem to be out of stock. Does anyone know of any good parts places or happen to (gasp) have one to sell?

Thanks, Adam. I'm looking to get the fan blade tomorrow... A 20" diameter 25 degree pitch CCW 1/8 HP 1/2" bore fan blade assembly (with the hub). It's for a Rheem RAFB-024JAS ... The model number of the fan blade is 70-19895-01 . Since the new fan motor is bi-directional, I don't think rotational alignment would matter.
I'll give a finder's fee of $40 to the first person who gives me information that leads to getting the fan blade in my possession tomorrow (Friday).

inorite? I thought one day of no AC would be fine in waiting for parts, but BOY WAS I WRONG!
Grainger.com came through and had a fan blade for me to pick up, yay! As of 11am today, we now have working AC!

Glad that you got it fixed Mike.
I got my new SSV valve in today. Im hoping to put it in tomorrow morning and I really hope that solves my problem.
Also my check engine light still has not come back on. Call me crazy but I wish it would come back on. Its weird being off when it should be on.

Something like that always gives me the spooky feeling that bad things are happening and I don't know about them. The again, I have been driving around for a year with a light on for a bad rear O2 sensor.

I will have to come by and hear it once you get it installed.
So as usual my one project turned into 4 today. Instead of just installing the SSV I painted my lower and upper themostat housing, replaced the radiator hoses ive been wanting to do and tomorrow I will finish the complete coolant flush. Ill aslo get her started up tomorrow. So hopefully the new SSV did the trick.

AJ or Tim since you are the two closet guys to me would one of you be able to meet me sometime? I want to check out your SSV and see what its doing when you shut the car off. It should actuate once the car is turned off. Mine isnt.
AJ maybe Thursday night at one of the sonics? I get off work at 10.
Also Cole it already ran through my head but after just dropping about 1500 on the car I really dont want to spend more on it til I get a new DD. Im gonna do what it takes to fix this current problem but after that I gotta stop spending for a bit I think.....

I never mind helping out. I would have to meet you earlier in the day though due to my screwy schedule. I'm writing this AFTER work. I'm usually passed out by 8:30 or 9 during the week but always around during the day or morning.

Oh yeah. Just remembered I don't have a COBB jobber but I do have an OBD-II scanner with some data functions if you think that would help. Midpipe due by Friday. Dun dun dun!
