Wow, you guys have stepped into another world I'm not sure I belong in...

Myfuncar, would your friend happen to be looking for .Net/Sharepoint developers? Also, this wouldn't happen to be contractors he's looking for is it?

Uh, well, I wouldn't know a net/sharepoint whatever if it hit me in the face, so I don't know....In terms of contractors, he said there are certain advantages for his business that make employees a better choice over contractors.

Sorry to break up the "IT"/computer/cold fusion mumbo jumbo..........As you can see my address now reads Newark DE.

WARNING - PLEASE SIT DOWN BEFORE READING!

Well it's true. I don't know if any of you were aware (except Waterlogged) that my job in St Louis downsized. I had to make a choice of taking a much lesser position or resigning. I opted to resign on good terms. I was living off of my savings for almost 2 months. Because I could not get any new offers of the same caliber or pay, I started to search outside the MO/IL area........(my home town being Philly). I drove to the Philly/NJ/DE/MD area on 3/8 to interview.

In another reality as you know I was dating that model Teresa (some of you met her). Well things were not going well. We fought like cats and dogs. I changed my locks and attempted to get a restraining order. When I went to court they told me that I could not get one because there had been no physical altercation. I told the court that I was trying to prevent something from happening. They told me something had to happen first. What sense that makes ... I have noooooo idea. Anywho, they also told me that in the state of MO that if she stays at least one night at my place she can claim that as her legal/perm residence and I could not just kick her out. I would have to give her 30 days notice. So her notice was up on 3/15.

Ok remember I left on 3/8 for the Philly area, interviewing and looking for prospective places to live. I was supposed to return originally on 3/11 but did not end up returning until 3/17 at 7:30am. ST. Pattys day, lucky charms, green clovers, leper-"cons" and sh*t........The luck of the IRISH.......well I am black.

I open the door to my townhouse and........ it is EMPTY!!!!!!!

That "bumble bee under the Arch" In other words that "bee-arch" robbed me blind. She took everything my entire apt. All the furniture, TV's, computer, dishes, some jewelery, some steelers stuff, and even SOME RX8 ITEMS. She doesn't even have a license. Ok guys close your mouths. I know ..... I know ....... Hey Terets I think I need some pro bono work.

Good news I had insurance (with full replacement). So not a total loss. I took the job in DE and have moved. I told Waterlogged this already ..... and discussed with him that I will still be back for some of the autocrssses. You guys will be missed. I will make sure to stay in touch though.

Chico,
I never even had the chance to meet you, but I'm sorry all that happened to you. That's no way to leave St. louis. (On the other hand, you didn't have to go through the hassle of packing and hiring movers.) I just can't believe she took all your stuff.
By the way, this couch has a sag in it, do you still have the warranty? And the TV's picture is really awful...
Seriously, I hope things go well for you. Please don't tell everyone there that St. Louisans are all psychos who just want to know where you went to high school (Even if its true, please don't tell anyone.)
Good luck.

Wow Chico...sorry to hear about the cleaning lady. And I know how you liked the Steelers too, that really sucks. Good luck in Newark. Hopefully the ladies treat you a little bit better out there.

Wow that sucks. I can't believe the nerve of her. If you need any legal work, I'll see what I can do. I can tell you however that if you got ALL of the money back for the stuff from insurance then any money/property you recovered would be used to subrogate (pay back) the insurance money so it's probably not worth the time.

But seriously, if there is anything I can do drop me a PM and I'll get on it. Hope you have better luck in Newark and come back to visit us!

I'll keep a closer eye on Molly (DErbyDame) now...

I be a newbie to the whole rx8 club, but hello to all. Is there any of you planning to get togethe anytime soon. My wife and I usually drive up to the lou on sundays. Sure would like to see some of your cars and hear some custom exhausts. By the way I did live in chesterfield for a while and love the city. Plan on moving back in about two years. If anuone is interested let me know thanks.

Ok, who's up for a bit of garage/beer time? I'm looking to swap my old suspension (springs & sways) back into the car possibly this weekend or next to get set for another fun-filled autocross season... albeit in stock class. I'll supply the beer/brats in exchange for your helping hands to wrestle the original front sway bar and springs back into their original home. Or if you just want to see what an RX-8 looks like with its wheels/suspension off just come along for a peek. I'd love to have at least one helper not afraid to get their hands a little dirty for a couple hours, though.

I'll most likely be borrowing my sister's 3-car garage out in Wentzville (not as far as Modena's place, but close) either Saturday or Sunday.

On another note, check this out: https://www.rx8club.com/mw-rx-8-forum-31/st-louis-scca-autocrossing-pdx-112704/

Edit: Oh yeah, we can can also point and laugh at my bro-in-law's 350Z.

Nah, beer doesn't have to be involved. Just the only way I can get some of these turkeys motivated. If you're worried about asking questions being annoying, don't sweat it. I'm sure the next time I see an RX-7 enthusiast I'll annoy him/her. I have all sorts of questions about forced induction... and the tuning to go along with it. We're all newbs at something.

LOL! Yeah, I guess you're right. But at least you admit it. You'll at least have to come to the April race and try to spank us "old" guys. There's definitely no brew there.

BTW, 17 yrs old and have your own RX-8. Not too shabby.

Chico I just finally read your story, that's terrible!!! I'm sorry to hear this happened and even more sorry to hear you had to move! I am sure things will work out for you in the end.
Make sure you come back for autox, I'm sure one of us will offer up our cars if you fly in.

About this weekend, I'm out of town this weekend, but would likely be available the following saturday (day before easter) for at least some of the day. I'm willing to get dirty. You might want to call me Bill at 314-660-7424, as for the rest of you this is my new number.

the only problem is when you are young and have a nice car people my age are really jealous #$@#$, people are always saying " its daddys car" they dont understand that i work 35 hours a week just to afford my payment and insurance. Ive had my car for about 3 months now and its already been keyed twice.

Keyed twice?? Damn, I'd probably kill the first person I saw if I got keyed even once!

I think I'm adding another young'n to our crowd. Just found out a lady I work with's son (18) just bought an 8 (auto ). On top of that its red!! What's he thinking?
