Hey starsky1231, the first time I went I just watched.........and still had a great time. Just meeting all the RX8 owners you see online, Talkin junk, watching all the others run, learning about the autocross, showin off the car, etc. You really should come out.

Looks like I'll have to miss this weekends race, I'll be floating on the rivers of SEMO. Oh, by the way, found some awesome driving roads this weekend. My cousin just bought a house around Arnold / Imperial. Had to take Old Lemay Ferry to get to his place, awesome roads twisting back and forth up and down the valley. Best driving experience I've had in a while.

Hey, tjbourgoyne look forward to seeing you there. Let Waterlogged know if you need any specific info. He is the veteran with the autocrsses. Baseballgenius80 hopefully you can make the next one.

b-ball,
Quite a few twisties down south. Beware of the low water and hump-back bridges. Not sure airborne is quite what you want to do.
if you just want a few twisties for a quick drive, Meramec Bottom road from 55 to 21 works as well. Very little traffic at night

You guys should have come out to the rx7club dyno day this last weekend ... you would have seen 1 500+ horsepower RX-7 and 3 400+ horsepower 7's get tuned, and 4 cars close to 400 hp. It was a pretty badass display of rotary power!

BOOSTD, keep us updated on that stuff if you don't mind. Newer people in the group may not be aware to jump over to rx7club.com to also check what is going on in the area. Thanks man!

Apparently nobody in the group was aware, since there were no 8's there! You're probably better off not going, then you'd just want to spend all your money or mods.
Some day I'll have a combined calendar or events forum.

Yeah, don't want to void those expensive warranties. Need all the warranty I can get when a set of plugs costs $185. And I thought gas was getting expensive, $45 for a single spark plug, give me a break!

Yeah, I just came from the dealership. If I install the racing beat revi intake...it will void three different warranties. I guess it will wait along with other mods I can't do yet. I never looked at the RX7 site, but I agree if there is an event in St. Louis let us know. Hey Baseballgenius80 next time you go to your cousins make sure you video the twisties.....before the six pack.

You can get the plugs online for around $100/set. Still expensive, but cheaper.
That's ridiculous that the Revi intake will void your warranty. Of course, you could always just take it off before going to the stealer ... I mean dealer.

I've talked to Auffenberg (stealer I bought my 8 from), they said as long as they install it, it won't void the warranty. But any independent installations might. But then you have to pay their rate for installation and not get the WaterLogged / Modena discount.

Yea.....It really sucks because reviewing my paperwork I got the extended warrantee 72/100,000. What the small print states.....Not covered = Arising out of the failure of an otherwise covered part that does not meet Mazda's specifications, including modifications and/or alterations to the vehicle not approved by Mazda's authorized representative. (some examples: oversized tires, headers, altered ignition systems, free flow exhaust system, lift kit and aftermarket alarm systems).......Also an interesting note that voids the warrantee is = If your vehicle is used for racing on or off road, competition or speed contests. And here is my problem the stealer will not install the revi intake. So for now no Waterlogged / Modena discount.

So chico, did the intake get delivered yet? If so are you planning on returning it? Modena and I are still up for an install on Saturday if you still want to go ahead with it. I think I'll also be doing an oil change and possibly clean & re-oil my air filter. We did the iPod fix this past Saturday so we got that little project out of the way.

My tire pressure light went on this morning!
I let the extra pressure out from the autocross a while ago so its not that. Anyone know what it could be?

It could be a bad sensor. That's covered under your warranty. I had two "go bad" shortly after putting on a new set of tires and the dealer hooked me up. Is the light flashing or is it beeping when you turn the key on and staying lit?
I'd check the pressures all around one last time then I'd head straight to the dealer.

I was driving uphill just after leaving my subdivision and it lit up and started beeping. I am also having problems with reverse (it never seems to want to go all the way into gear. anyone else with that problem?) so I'm most likely going into the dealer anyway.

If your pressures are all within range I'd say you definitely have a bad sensor.
Dunno about the whole reverse thing. I haven't had much trouble with that gear, but my shifts from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th have always been sketchy until the short shifter. Now everything's smooth as a baby's butt.

Also, I have an idea for you water.
Since your warrantee is coming slose to an end, and in keeping with your "keep it looking stock" theme I have a sweet way for you to put in nitrus. I was wondering if you would want to try to wire it up to your cruise control "cancel" button. I don't know about you, but I almost never use that and it is in the perfect position.

Yea Boosted7 said the same thing with swithcing out the intake before I take the car to the stealer. I think I need to see myself how easy it is. If we do get together Saturday to do the install I would need a time and directions. I would also like if you can to show me the wax you use. I will be at the waterlogged / modena install this weekend. It will surely get me pumped for the autocross on Sunday.
