Hey guys, just pulled my 8 into my garage for the first time last weekend (used silver 07) and just a week later, tonight, I got my first speeding ticket.... figures.
I was paced by an unmarked SUV going 85 in a 60 zone. Anyway, anyone have any tips or any useful information about fixing a speeding ticket? I hear all the ads on the radio but I'm interested if anyone here knows anything useful. Thanks

Country Day School, eh? Graduating this year, I take it? Class of '99 here.

Lawyer, no court appearance (as long as it's not a ticket for ~25+ over or so where they might require you to be in court), and you're all set. No points dinging your insurance is worth the fine, usually.

I was going 85, so I would have to appear in court but apparently it's not required if my lawyer is representing me.
And yes, class '09 country day. Glad to see an alumni on here

On a more positive note, sent my ECU off for the Racing Beat PCM flash. Hope to have the ecu back in the car by tomorrow night to try it out.

Got new rubber on my wheels; Potenza RE-01Rs (closeout @ TireRack). Cobalt Friction GT Sport pads, ATE SuperBlue brake fluid, new Redline rear diff. & tranny fluids all swapped in this weekend! Gearbox is smooth as butter again, and the car stops unbelievably hard! Getting an alignment this friday.

I want a mazdaspeed exhaust...

Hey CDS class of 1985 here. Wow, imagine that, three of us. I got pulled over last year doing 39 in a 30. I apologized, said I was sorry, guilty, etc. Being nice did not help. I had a lawyer friend fix it, he didn't charge me, but I had to pay Olivette about $120.

Got the ECU back in the 8 and man can I feel a difference. Red line has been adjusted from 9000rpm to 9500rpm. Instead of the power dropping off around 7500rpm, it climbs full out all the way to 9500rpm. Got on some open road and floored it in 4th gear. It screamed all the way to 9500rpm with no problem where I realized I was doing 130 mph. This tune is impressive and pretty surprising. Just wish I had some area to test out 5th and 6th gear. Felt like the car was saying "130 is nothing, I want more.....zoom, zoom!"

Couldn't be happier. Just have to pay attention more to how quick I'm going. Seems to accelerate and get on it more now.

Gotta sign up for a weekend SCCA membership if you're not already a member ($15), and then there is the event fee itself ($25). more info here: http://www.stlsolo.org/ . Registration here: http://stlscca.motorsportreg.com/

I prefer the simple look of the ones on the left. The ones on the right are just a little too ghetto for me, if you know what I mean. If you get the ones on the right....get them in 22's yo! You be illin, foo!
