I know I'm gonna get a ton of trouble for this, but here are the cars I'm strongly considering:
1) Z28 camaro, always been a camaro fan and would love to have the straight line speed and torque back
2) ....heres the one I will really take the heat for, a chrysler crossfire....yep I said it. Lol I'm the type of guy that loves to drive cars you don't see on the road that often (part of the reason I was so drawn to the rx8) but you never see them on the road, and you really never see a nicely modded one on the road. They fall into my price range with minimal miles.
3) 2001 firebird trans am...look at same reason as the camaro.
4) would love to get my hands on a mitsu 3000GT just don't know where I can find one in my price range with under 100,000 miles
5) nissan 350Z or 300ZX
6) this ones for you james...lexus IS 300 but once again I don't see me finding one under or around $10,000 with good mileage.

looking to go back to manual I hated the auto, and would prefer black or white but am open to any colors.

As of right now it's about 50/50 on me getting a new car, as stated you guys will get dibbs on my parts I will just need to find a way to get your stock parts. If you have any other ideas make sure and let me know.

o and before anyone flames me to bad for the crossfire check out car domain I can't post pics now cause I'm on my phone, but there are some clean crossfires out there. (--- I know ryans gonna kill me for that comment! Lol

i really never knew what the big issue with the crossfires were they are pretty cool cars a little inconvenient but whatevs... as for ur rims I wouldn't be able to give you my stockers unless u were willing to make me a real good deal for em because I was planning on keepin them for winter tires but we'll see... I really hope you dont end up sellin ur ride..

James: Wasn't an IS300 for sale on Midwestce for like 10 or 11k? It was like black or silver with black wheels...I think it was all black actually with a cf hood i think

yes but he does not want that one.
IS's are kinda like 240's you can find them but it's hard to find one that is lower mileage that has not been molested.

here you go man i know it's at 12k but this one is a sportdesign in thoundercloud mettalic it's a rare care in a rare color and it has the nicer wheels.
the IS 300 is a very reliable car. that is why i bought it. only reason i sold mine was because it was an auto and since i had a company vehicle i could have a fun car that i didn't have to depend on daily.

Grow a mullet before getting the TA/Z28.

Get a wig before getting the Lexus.

And have fun with the crusty ergonomics of the old busted up Japanese sports cars.

mazda said the compression on the rx8 was low and that they will have a new engine in for me next week.

As for the crossfire, ive seen that pic before masked ha ha ha. i dont think it looks that bad, if i lower it and put my wheels on it i think it will look pretty good. But who knows i still have to figure this out and see if im really gonna trade it in, or if im just gonna bite my tongue and hope my pocket grows some money. I never really understood why so many people hate the car though, i understand some people dont like the looks, but whenever i say something to any of my friends who enjoy modding cars they all say no, but when i ask why there answers are i dont like the way it looks from the back or its a chrysler.

One of the reasons im interested in the firebird is my first car was a 93 firebird. I loved it, learned how to drive a manual in it, learned how to take care of it and how to work on cars with that car. Had always wanted a TA, they are not terribly common, but are common enough that i can find one in my price range with around 70,000 miles.

James had a Lexus, and the ones that were at the meet were extremely clean, i just dont know how much money im going to have if i buy a new car, thats what scares me with the lexus, is after seeing those i will want to mod it.

Lack of money is a big key here, i want something with in my price range that will still be a fun car to drive, and at the same time be reliable. The TA and Z28 fit that criteria, the crossfire fits the price but i have not driven one yet so not sure there. Also with all three of these cars there are little to no body modifications available, so i know i cant spend money there.

i thought it was a diamler. LOTS of mercedes sorced parts and expensive to repair.
mercedes as of late has had some quality issues. the crossfire is about 85% mercedes

If they check you still need cats outside of stl. Part of the safety inspection is that it has all factory emissions equipment, or at least what they know of.

That's nuts I had a straight pipe on my Eclipse and they made me put my cat on to pass the safety inspection in Ste. Genevieve county when I lived there and they don't have emissions.

Very true if only all emission tests were like that luckily even though my current cat is shot I was able to source one off of another member and should have it hopefully before the end of this week. Man it has been awhile since I have posted on here lol
