anyone know anyone with a body shop? i need some fiberglass work done to my front bumper and need it freshly painted.
also, not sure if anyone is interested (i know ryan and charlie both want an aftermarket front)but there is a bumper for sale in the forsale thread, its pretty beat up but should be fixable with some fiberglass work and not that expensive prolly looking at $300 for the bumper, to fix it and paint it. Its in Kentucky so it would not be a terrible drive for many. This is the 2nd best looking front after the autobahn IMO.

Thought about it but that bumper is on the east side of KY. It would take like 10 hrs + to get there. Also Perks my uncle owns a body shop. I don't know what he would charge to fix your bumper but I can ask if you want.

yea I know I can find the housing but they are ****** me over, I took the 8 in last week partly because the tail light wasn't working, they said they could fix it for $75 dollars, so I told them to go ahead and do it. Well less than a week later it's the same problem, the condensation is freezing inside the light, I told them that they would need to take $75 dollars off the assembly since I just paid for that a week ago. They said that if I found the assembly through somewhere else they would be unable to take the $75 off the price level for somereason so I just told them to go through with it and fix it.
ryan I'm atleast keepin the 8 until spring. If things get bad again there's an auto auction in march I believe.
total I will let you know, I'm not plannin on doin anything right now with the snow and everything but as soon as the snows gone I'd be interested for sure.

Hey guys, just bought a 2009 RX8 at the end of December, found this forum through Google, and figured I'd sign up. So far I'm enjoying the car, haven't had the chance to really open it up on the road, though.
In regards to the weather, I bought Blizzaks soon after I got the car and haven't had any trouble with the snow. Drove down 270 the other day and stayed primarily in the left lane (which had not been plowed) so I could pass people since people don't seem to know how to handle the snow around here.
Anyways, I figured I'd say hi. I've still got to check out the rest of the site, so I'll be around.

Good winter tires definitely inspire confidence driving in these conditions, but don't go too crazy out there. Always keep that DSC on while on the highway!
Post pics of your car!

Thanks, maskedferret! Luckily the guy I know at Bommarito Mazda was extremely helpful and gave me a lot of good advice before I bought the car, and snow tires were at the top of my list! I am currently looking for some rims so I can slap the other tires on them and am open to suggestions.
No worries, I've got plenty of snow driving experience and definitely know not to push my luck. The car slid on a light dusting of snow in my own apartment complex before I got the winter tires, and that scared me enough to make sure I never get out of control. Not to mention I don't want to be THAT guy on the side of the road whose fancy sports car wound up in the ditch or slammed into the median, haha.
Here are pics of my car after I bought it and returned home, during one of the colder days. I recently got the spoiler and splashguards installed, and will take more pics when it gets warmer and I can get the car washed.

good choice with blizzaks. and with grey as well quest.
and Brett I know you don't know much about car repair but next time get ahold of my *** first. cause if I am gonna rape you at least you'll know it's coming. Machens is so bad about that. next time have them estimate the cost. worst case your out 45 for the diagnosis and i'll help you with the fix.
