yea james ill make sure and give ya a call next time, i had to take it in for the engine so i just figured i might as well go ahead and let them fix it for $75 last week, but if i would have known it was gonna end up being around $400 i would have checked things i didnt expect that price.

very nice sparks i have been a fan of enkei wheels, looking forward to seeing them on the car, are you gonna use these to drift? hows the weight?

looks like im gonna have to find some new wheels, theres another red rx8 on here with axis matrix posted in the best looking wheels thread in the photo section. i hate when people have the same things i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but he failed when he went with the black spokes and rose gold lip. ha ha ha

also welcome to the club, hope to see you around or at some meets. I was looking at Gateway raceway has an internship i may have to try and get it, and force them to put in some more car shows or get an import faceoff or something, Gateway doesnt do enough in the car scene if you ask me.

nope the only other place is in Jefferson City which is around 40 min from here. so cant do that one. that was the main reason i was lookin into a new car was because of the dealership up here they have only one rotary tech out there and dude must be a complete idiot because it takes him a long time to do things, i mean i understand its an engine swap but it shouldnt take 6 days.

In other words, Ft. Leonardwood... out in the middle of nowhere on 44 in St. Robert. I have extended family in Waynesville, and my immediate family originated from that base; that's how I know about it. :P

~2.5-3 hour drive from the St. Louis area, I believe. I wouldn't mind driving around some of the back-roads there.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!

I have a question for you. I have a 3rd party remote start kit I'd like to install in my RX8 (I have have an automatic transmission...don't hate) and am looking for suggestions for places to go. The Mazda dealer will only install Mazda products. The guys at Firestone said Best Buy can do installs; they actually recommended one of the guys at the Boone's Crossing Best Buy.

I am trying to consider all options and am looking in the West County area for someone reliable and experienced that can do this. Any suggestions? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

My friend owns his own business that does all sorts of car audio he will do the install for you if you want and he charges about half of what best buy charges. He lives in south county though but the savings may be worth the drive. I'll ask him for you if you want. I know he did 2 remote starts for some people he works with last week when I was over there.

The place I found is a Sleep Inn in Bryson City, NC. It's about 10 min from the resort and a reasonable price since we won't really be at the hotel anyway.

Hey guys I need some help here. Alright so... Valentines Day, I lost traction and crashed my RX8 in a ditch off of I-70... luckily, I was going super slow and managed to minimize the damage to the vehicle. I took it in to White Auto Body up in Florissant and they just got back to me. They said basically the only damage they found was my front bumper, which is cracked down the middle, but everything else is untouched. The car runs fine, lights work, electronics work... basically I need a new MS bumper.

White Auto Body wants to charge $1384 to order the bumper from Greddy.com and paint/installation fees... but I really think I can get this done a little cheaper. I looked online at AIT Racing and found the MS Urethane bumper for around $450 after shipping/taxes.

So my question is, what do you guys think I should do? Should I let White take care of the whole thing or should I order it myself and find another shop here in STL to do the work? Any recommendations? I want to make sure the paint job gets done right.

Well your insurance should pay for it so get the authentic bumper from mazda... The MS Bumper is really expensive the greddy price is prolly for an authentic piece not to mention your prolly going to spend a ton of money trying to get that
Urethane bumper to fit correctly but just my two cents

EDIT: I don't know much about AIT though so if you trust their product I say go for it
