Well, for one... the insurance company won't pay for it. Also are you sure? I mean, isn't it made specifically for this car? This is exactly the same bumper that came with the car when I bought it from the previous owner, I'd think it should fit just fine.

you had a mazda speed bumper from ATI? ask the previous owner how the fitment on it was. if he said good go for it, and if yours fits good well than I may have to get one for myself

Hey everyone, so im probably going to have to put new brake pads on soon. And i just noticed that when i bought my car it didnt come with the wheel lock key for the lug nuts. I dont know wether or not they change for diffrent years, i have a 2004, but if anyone has one so i could just use it and put a regualr lug nut back on i would appreciate it. I live near arnold not sure if anyone else lives around here or not. Ohh and by the way i was out driving today and saw another Black 8 with what it looked like black rims also. Not sure if they are on here on not just thought id mention that.

The wheel locks are not provided directly from Mazda, but rather from a third party (McGard, I believe). The lock for your lugs is keyed and relatively unique to your set. Did you receive a small manila envelope with your manual? Ordering instructions along with your key number are usually in there. Additionally, I think you should be able to order them online (I had to at one point).
EDIT: No ordering online, but here's the information online saying what you need:
http://www.mcgard.com/Home/About/Cus...ingInformation
Failing this, I think it's easy enough to defeat these with a close-fitting socket and a hammer... expect to throw away the socket after use.

skid, somethin similar happened to me about 2 years ago. I hit a deer and only jacked up my front bumper. I think that price quoted is a lil expensive but could be right, as that seems to be what I spent, but I bought my bumper from shine auto out in cali. Great fitment for a replica not much body work involved at all, only rough area was around theside markers. So if I were you, your gonna spend yhe money already why not get a front bumper you love, even if it means a little more cash. My bumper from shine auto also reached my door in right around 5 days. I say go aftermarket but that's just me.

yeah a straight motor swap in a home garage will take u a weekend at most provided u have all the parts and don't hit a snag. In a an actual shop with a lift and good tools should only take a day.

i used to work at an autobody shop if you buy cheap body kits u get cheap fitment. Most people that buy lower grade body kits end up paying just as much if not more than a quality kit to get it to fit right. However shineauto has good prices and great quality products, if you want a replica that is the route to go.

shine auto is great unfortunately their choices are rather limited and I don't wanna copy Brett and have two identical 8's running around so I've stayed away from them ha ha.

Agreed since the 8 is not a drag car and Ls1 belongs in the rail cars it resides in currently (and if you own a 7 with an Ls1 conversion I will punch you in the face... Bad dont do that). you get a nice side of FAIL SAUCE

**** charlie your problem is that you go to WashU!! Lol. I guarantee if you transferred to Mizzou you would love it. Who else gets to take a nap for like 2 hours a day? Lol. It's all about the naps and shakespears pizza. Yea haven't introduced ya boys to that one yet, but I'm sure as james knows you will not find better pizza anywhere. Yes I said anywhere!! PS you should see Mizzou making another long run into the tourney this year so if your fillin out a bracket I'm gonna tell ya right now don't sleep on good ol' mizzou.
as for the LS1, I'm not gonna lie that would be FUN!! Could you imagine the horsepower in our light 8s? But if I did an engine swap I would look into a 20b or some other options before this. Although I have seen a couple totalled GTOs and can't say the thought has gone through my head.
is it gettin closer to spring?? I'm ready for some cruises!!
