Here's an added idea for the upcoming meet. At the Family Arena in St Charles on Aug 6-7, Chrysler is have an open test drive on their SRT models, among other things. You can find out more at www.chrysler.com/inspireddrives

I have preregistered for Saturday for all three events, so I can let you know how it is on Sunday when we meet up. Good opportunity to hotrod a crossfire, see if it is as good as they say.

For those that don't recognize the picture this is the installation of the Revi intake, cold air duct, oil cooler screens, condenser screen, fog light hack, and hole drilled into the firewall.

Can you see it? Oh wait nevermind, it's behind the silly photographer!

Looks like you guys did some pretty good work. Nice video too. Something tells me you were enjoying yourself a little too much. Nothing wrong with that though.

Now don't forget everyone, I believe we settled on Hot Shots in south county aroun 11:30 - Noon on Sunday. Hope to see everyone there.

I'll be there with or without my car. I dropped it off at Plaza while at lunch and they gave me a 4-banger Chrysler Sebring. If anyone ever complains of an RX-8 being underpowered, have them go drive this hunk of crap. I'm afraid I'm going to get killed thinking I can either take an onramp over 25 mph or be aggressive getting into rush hour traffic.

Oh, and modena... I cleaned up the car real nice yesterday just in case I get it back by the meet on Sunday. I even cleaned the engine bay and fixed the "shitty armor all". :D

Still hate to hear about your car there H2O. But can't wait to get together this weekend. At least we'll be able to challenge that pool game of yours.

Well, looks like it was the normal group. Still had a great time this weekend, but would have been nice to see some of the new faces of the people who said "I'll definitely be there, wouldn't miss it for the world!" Did those people get lost???? Oh well, maybe next time. We had some pretty interesting pool games. To give everyone a chance, we played winner sits. We'll just say I did a lot of sitting. And if anyone feels like talking s**t, well, hopefully next time you'll show up. A little motivation to get the rest of the group out there. Hope to see a bigger turn out next month. So let's start planning, and for those who didn't show, is there a better place to meet that is more convenient for you? I'm sure we are all open to suggestions.......

Nah, South County is too far to ride then head back out West to go swimming. All the vibrations and hot seat would wear us both out!

Just thought I would try and keep this towards the top. So, any ideas for next month's meet? I'll try and see if there is anything going on that weekend we could possibly incorporate. Looks like the meet will fall on Sept. 4th.

Congrats on the new 8 and your first post! We've been tossing aroud some ideas for a cruise n' BBQ type meet for the September get together. The weather should cool down enough that a nice drive and some brats & burgers would finish the summer off in style.

I was thinking the River Road near Alton would be a great drive. Maybe even catch one of the ferries. Anyone else with an idea?

Yeah BBQ sounds like a good idea. Probably best to try to decide quick because I will definately post for some of the rx7 club guys to come as well to try to get more than five people to come lol.

If we do the river road up Alton way, there are several good places to eat. Fin Inn in Grafton has a nice view of the river. Fast Eddy's is always a good place in Alton. For BBQ, we could always stop at Pier Marquette Park (spelling). Those are just a few thoughts.

Another suggestion along the river road. The Loading Dock in Grafton, IL is a nice place to eat. Haven't been there in a couple years, but it was good every time before when I was there. And for something intersting, they used to also have wave runner rentals by the hour to jet up and down the mississippi. Just some ideas.

It doesn't matter to me, Phil since this is more your territory you pick whatever you feel is best. I don't know whats up there besides Fast Eddies or if we were going to do the BBQ thing I don't know of any parks.
