I believe that was me. I work over in City Place just across from Applebee's and had gone over there for lunch with a fellow employee. I'm the only one with a yellow 8 with a black stripe down the middle.....so pretty sure it was me.

I spotted BBG getting a ticket on 270 yesterday at 3:15! Ouch. What'd he get you for Phil?

He got me for driving too cool of a car.....can't help he is stuck driving a Crown Vic. Got me for 79 in a 60.....was accelerating to get out of the way of the flying SUV behind me. I had been cruising at around 72.....he let the SUV go who sped off in the 80's. I was slightly irate over that.

I have the #1 rated Passport.....just had the windows down, music up...enjoying the nice weather. The one time I wasn't paying attention to my radar detector screaming at me. That made me even more mad.

Hello yellow! I saw you wave at me going on Eager to Brentwood, me coming off 170 yesterday; I waved back (might have been a bit late).

Spotted a very clean yellow 8 headed west on I-70 today. That was the first yellow RX8 I had seen in person and really liked it a lot. I rode behind the guy all the way out to wright city and it sure made me miss having mine.

I have seen many rx-8's along the 80ish mile trips I take 3 days out of the week for work and school....see the same ones the other days when I just have work, but you won't be seeing me in an 8 anymore I hydroplaned on 170 at olive 2 weeks ago during the gustov rains and although there was no impact past the trunk of the car there was a slight buckle on the right side of the rear windshield and the back of the roof was raised a little, as well as my passenger rear wheel being visibly knocked out of alignment (at the least) I 360ed right into the median wall and then back across all lanes without hitting anyone else at 1130 in the morning! lucky e to not bring anyone else into my accident. hell, I wasn't even speeding! Just the visual estimate brought my repair cost to just over $9,000 and my insurance company totaled it out. There is now one less yellow 8 on the road in STL I have no idea what I am going to get next because the 8 was a lot of fun, I only had it since May, but I never got tired of getting in it. Found a 2006 Civic SI but still not sure.

Totally bummed out a couple of days ago (tues?) when, for the first time since buying my 8, I saw another winning blue 8 on manchester by 141. Oh well, I guess I can't be the only one!

Sorry bout your 8 kungfu. Go get an 09' 8 they look bad *** and the oem wheels they come with now are f-ing sweet!

Got pulled over last week for not having a front plate. This state is stupid for requiring 2. When I was stationed in GA, I only had to have the back one. I guess one of the perks for being in the Navy is that you can get out of a ticket fairly easy 99% of the time. Now I have to go get a plate holder on the front of my 8. Not looking forward to taking a drill to my car!

thanks blue......I never put a front plate on mine either, but I never had any problems. Was kinda surprised I didn't get a ticket for it when the cops showed up to my accident. I can't afford the new 8's so I decided to go for the 06 Civic SI I found last week....pick it up on Monday :p

I have a 50 mile round trip to work and back and then another 20 miles 3 days a week for school and the gas was starting to hurt a little bit.....I never got more than 20 miles to the gallon so I figured I would take the opportunity to get something with better mileage.....I had found another yellow 04 in pevely....fully loaded with navi and they only wanted 14k for it....I almost couldn't pass it up....lol

NE idea what a 2004 sport package w/ about 6k miles on it (and has only been in the rain 4 times) would go for?

did you blue book it? I was reading earlier post on this thread. I think it would be a great idea if we all had rx club stickers for our rides. it would also be cool if the surrounding troy-ofallon/shilo 8 got together.

Blue Book isn't really accurate. I agree about a get together. It's been a while since I've done one (last one was to Fast Eddies, then the Eagle Run). The weather would have to be better for me to take her out though...

Yeah I knew they existed, I just like the idea of us being able to id one and another easily since we are one big family . The weather does need to lighten up for a get together I agree. While I am replying, I guess this would fall under this thread. I go to SIUE and there are two other 8s I have seen there. One is titanium grey and the other is white. I was just seeing if either of them are on here.

I really like the idea of the stickers. gonna have to get me one in WB. Any know of a good body shop in the o'fallon area to take my 8? the neighbors backed into mine on new years eve day and cracked the plastic piece around the passenger tailpipe and scuffed up the painted part above it.

If you are referring to O'Fallon, IL.....I highly recommend Terry's Autobody. I have used them several times and have always been more than satisfied.

Thanks BB, but no, I live on the MO side. In Lake St. Louis. The Dealer doesn't do body work and refered me to Spirit West in St. Charles. Going there Friday for an estimate, but didn't know if there was a better place to go.
